Unfortunately sufficient numbers of Republicans are just in power to enrich themselves and therefore happy members of the uniparty. They will publicly issue stern condemnations of Democrats, but then never actually do anything, because to do anything will upset the grift. These members make more money when they are out of power -- that's when they can shout the loudest with no chance of affecting anything. When Republicans get majorities, they sit on their hands. Trump came in with both the House and Senate. And they proceeded to deliver nothing.
