Scott became Virginia's first Black Speaker of the House in its 400 year history. Ironically, the swearing in took place in Richmond, former capital of the Confederacy.
Upon hearing of Scott 's swearing in, Virginia resident willy wonka swore a blue streak and wondered how Scott found the time to become Speaker when he and his peeps were busy burning down half the country. Willy then wrapped himself up in his Confederate flag, assumed the fetal position and quietly cried himself to sleep.
After he does some research and realizes that Virginia’s first Latino Attorney General is a Republican and Virginia’s first Black immigrant female Lt Gov is a Republican.
…forgot about Douglas Wilder. You know, Douglas Wilder, right Big P? First black governor in Virginia….scratch that….first black governor in US history? Yeh he got elected back in 1990.

does he have other than being a Democrat person of color? Every state has a "Kamala Harris" that is given a position they haven't earned in the name of diversity, right?
