What has happened to the Republican Party?

It has become unrecognizable to me. Many in congress, and in the right wing media have spread numerous Covid lies that have caused many deaths due to vaccination hesitancy.
A majority of Republicans believe that Joe is not the legally elected Potus, even though the states they complain about with bogus vote totals were run by Republicans.
January 6th was just a protest at the Capitol that got a little out of control.
And if that wasn't enough, Marjorie Taylor Greene speaks at a white supremacist conference where Russia is cheered and the host praises Hitler. Wtf is going on?

When the CPAC crowds starts chanting "Putin,Putin", ....then you know your party has a problem and 1/6 isn't the only thing your party can hang its hat on.

Exactly and just like you don't want to be associated with the squad and the extremists in BLM and ANTIFA Neither do we want to be associated with Hate groups either. Voted against the certification of the 2020 election...But. let me jump one step ahead of you. I know all 147 aren't MGT/Gosar types. But do you mean to say, that they are the only 2 loonies out of 147??..Really. Odds aren't with you.
But let's look at the possibilities...
Ted Cruz,Josh Hawley ,Tommy Tuberville from the Senate don't fit the bill??
Or how about this fine group from the House...
Andy Biggs,Lauren Boebert,Mo Brooks,Madison Cawthorn,Louie Gohmert,Ronny Jackson,Jim Jordan , and Elise Stefanik?
This is what came off the top of my head but I'm sure there's a few more...There's crazy all over your party.
Probably the reason they didn't attend was that maybe their invite got lost in the mail??
Or they were bust meeting with the 1/6 terrorist, Oath Keepers,Proud Boys or the 3 percenters...ot maybe that truck convoy, take your pick.

The progressive section of the Democrats is just that. Progressive.  They didn't get into politics to make a buck. They got in to make a change, not to try and keep America in some 50's version of itself.  You may not like them but they are not stupid.  In my lifetime the world population has gone from 3 billion to 8 billion.  It can't be business as usual.  Change has to come and the Republicans are desperate to go business as usual.....meaning white men making all the same bad decisions.
