“The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation,” Obama - Dec. 20, 2007 Boston Globe
But there is the War Powers Act, which has been in effect since what? The end of the Vietnam War? I personally believe that the War Powers Act is unconstitutional, but hey, that's just Willy.
And while we're on the subject, Obama has been a hypocrite more than once.
I'm aware of the War Powers Act. I do think it is necessary for a pres. to have a certain amount of latitude but it has potential to be abused.
My issue is that Obama chose to get get international consent and NOT American Congressional consent. He's our President but ignored Congress and the American people. He also would have gotten majorities of both Houses very easily.
"And while we're on the subject, Obama has been a hypocrite more than once".
Is there a list available of "any" elected politician, who hasn't been a hypocrite, or made gaffes more than once? I'm afraid that would be a tedious google search with few results.
