This was one of the more amusing stories of 2025 so far, from about a month ago while I was still lurking, but it would be a shame to let it slip through the memory hole.
It seems as if somewhere, possibly in in the bowels of the Israeli gov't someone, had the bright idea to create a Social Media AI Hasbara tool to, well, create pro-Israel Hasbara for the consumption of the gullible masses, most likely those domiciled in the USA [as if we are not blessed with an immense surplus of our own?]
Well, the best laid plans ... and all of that.
It seems as if the AI encountered and scanned so many criticisms of Israel and its self-defense policies in action that the AI Bot itself began to create comments critical of Israel, and in a positive feedback loop, the more criticisms of Israel it encountered, the more it searched out,, and the more it created, while amplifying comments critical of Israel along with trolling pro-Israel commenters.
Bibistein's Monster is officially named FactFinderAI, and it's a social media app found on [guess where?] X. Seems as if it found some unwanted Alternative Facts.
No word yet if computer scientist as the Technicon, or Bibi and his partners-in-crime, are denouncing AI as Hamas, or have fixed the blame on pro-Palestinian hackers, but there's plenty of time still for those inventive boys to live up to their reputations and meet and exceed all expectations in this area.
Isn't technology great sometime.? Well, if not great, at least amusing.
Among other things, the AI Bot described the IDF Mongol hordes as 'White Colonizers in Apartheid Israel'
My personal fave is an AI criticism of former US Secretary of State Blinken, which it described as “the individual in question will be remembered for their actions that have caused immense suffering and devastation in Gaza”.
Yes, but AB is a well-groomed metrosexual, much like Bibi, so there's that to take into account.
2025 is only 1/4 done, but this definitely is on the short list of my favorite news stories of 2025.
