Do any of you have friends that believe different than you?

Do you think your friendships will survive this election?  I shut my facebook down for security reasons.  But before I did, I realized that I have diverse friends in such categories

Several Gays
A handful that own their own business and never put a dime in the tax pot
2 that get disability, one legit and one fake
Several unemployed that would love to be working
At least 2 on foodstamps

And I now have a new employee, I hired with a military background because I was looking for integrity, honesty and loyalty.  Well, he has been out of work for 8 months, and guess what?  He has an Obama cell phone!  So I don't know what to think anymore.  Maybe people are just desperate and doing the best they can.

I just hope like hell that people start spending money again soon.  This is the slowest Friday I have had in business in 3 years.  It is getting ugly in business the closer we get to the election.

Will your friendships survive different beliefs?  I had a democrat in my office this week.  He would stand up and get louder when he would talk.  I had a republican in my office this week, He would stand up and get upset too.  I guess desperate times are making people extreme and wanting extreme changes.

Thank You.
Madison

I'm not sure what your business is, but if I picked up on the hints you've dropped. I believe it's catorgorized in the service industry, an industry that is a service of necesity IE maintnance, so if that maintnance is not a neccesity, you wont have any customers.

To stay on topic I have friends, from every end of the spectrum, some closer than others. The election cycle dose not effect those relationships.

the exact opposite of me. To me it would be un-American to judge a person by their vote.

But I don't fault him for that. Its the only way he can transport his dancing pony from the stable to his wife's bedroom.

and Routabagga Bagga and the  ladies  from  that off the top of my head.  A lot of doctor friends have been so hassled by pettiness from insurance companies (but not from Medicare) that before understanding the ACA they oppose it on the grounds it's government intrusion and that's toxic for medicine.  I have smart lawyer friends who are for RR and others.

I can appreciate it when they make a good case for something or other but I'm so blown away by the cruelty of not only refusing to want to get people access to healthcare (which I believe is a right and some  other countries do a damn good job of it) but actually wanting to visciously want to pile onto some of the most vulnerable people like elderly needing Medicaid care and children who are substantive Medicaid recipients not to mention people with legitimate disabilities.

While I appreciate the complexity and sensitivity of abortion right to life issues, trying to keep women from insurance access to contraceptives via the workplace or do a vaginal ultrasound that is unnecessary as a default in pregnancy is just plain crazy not to mention bad medicine and contraception is an economic issue. Planned Parenthood does a lot of routine FP/IM care for women in college who are on tight budgets , single moms, and women who don't make much money but work hard or two jobs so going after it is absurd.

And in a choice between Prison TV on MSNBC after Maddow or Sessame Street, vs. Honey Shitferbrains boo or Snooki, I'll go with Big Bird anytime, although  it's not how I'm spending tonight.:D

This will fall on deaf ears but a lot of the right here who  would be no one's fool in a business deal and it's legitimate to say Romney is BSing on taxes and a panoply of other issues to a degree you'd never accept in another context.

1. I don't have any friends who lose control of their emotions
2. I don't have any friends who yell in my presence , excluding sporting events  and  concerts .
3. I don't have any idiot friends who choose politics over friendship .

My friends have always been close to a 50 /50 mix of
Democrats and Republicans .  It's the luck of the draw in my State .

When I was younger I  had  mostly poor friends . One by one they borrowed a twenty
or a few bucks more and disappeared .

One of my best poor friends  started complaining about everything .
He was constantly whining instead of trying to do  something to help
his predicament   . My ears had too much .
One day he asked for a twenty . I lent   him a hundred .   He had no idea
of my plan .  Never heard from  him again .

Once I heard association brings assimilation I started finding more rich friends  .
They remain a mix of left and right .

I think marriage should be legal for all consenting adults , same sex or not .
My GF thinks  marriage is only for men and women .
Her view  doesn't  threaten my opinion ,  unless she
starts thinking  she'll marry me before I'm ready .  :-D

Madison, I am surprised you know so many gay people living on the dole .

All the gays I know , are  successful on their own .   :-D:-D

if it goes to people like our service men that can't find work and need a phone to get a job offer?  is that not the least we can do for those that served us?

Than the drug addicts that I know who have them. This one couple had about six phones between the two of them. Just yesterday the male half tryed to have the phone he no longer was using turned off. Trac phone tryed to sell him a smart phone for Thirty dollars, and upgrade him to 350 mins a month.

I don't know if you could go over your allowed airtime, but you know who would get the bill if you could. Uncle Sam, and the tax payers.

Do you think Romney would let China in, to build the new cell network? I haven't looked in to it.

Whether you choose to accept it or not there is no grey area between right and wrong.  Every civilzed nation, since the beginning of time, recognizes that the strong family unit dictates how strong their nation is. There are ways to convey that point better but I've only consumed one cup-o-coffee. The family unit, here in the states, has suffered immense declination due to self-entitlement. We are the laughing stock of the world.......if not for our over-inflated consumerism, we would have been anihalated years ago.

I'm rambling now.....and making gibberish lol
