Rove won't be indicted... for now.

The ability of this administration to sleaze its way out of trouble by manufacturing distractions is so Uncanny, it seems the Devil himself is manipulating the circumstances.

I am so thoroughly disgusted and disheartened at he state of disarray this country is in.

We glorify empty fluff on American Idol, roll over and expose our bellies to predators, and villify our allies while extolling the virtues of evil regimes and bending low to suck their toes because of political expedience and financial profit.

Sad to say, but we as a collective whole, deserve what we've got. The American mantra of Fuck You, Me First has left us a nation comprised of a majority of greedy selfish fat and stupid lemmings corralled by an increasingly Fascistic and Tyrannical regime, with a few misfits on the outside.

In a country where Ann Coulter and Jessica Simpson are considered the pinnacles to be admired and emulated, the words of Dylan Thomas are metaphorically stunning:
Do Not Go Silently Into That Good Night. Rage, RAGE Against the Dying of the Light.

this get together by the  bushy-rumsy-chainy trio to make some noises about an "exit strategy" from Iraq to shore up their fortunes at the coming elections. The sad part is that there are enough lemmings to buy this drivel and then slumber back into disillusion after november! Sad to say,but this country was built on the shoulders of giants but is now run by selfish, greedy midgets.....

Conservatives accuse me of hating Bush.  I don't.

Chainy the Torturer and Rogue now, that's something else.

I don't care if there ain't no evidence. We should string that Rove feller up anyway. If fer no other reason than to show our Allies that we are good and compassionate people and not rabble like them mean spirited, goose stepping, righties in the whitehouse!

1) Everything Wilson said has been debunked.  Even the NY Times agreed.  He cited as his evidence documents that did not exist until 6 months after his UNPAID trip and claimed he interviewed people that swear they never met him.
2) British Intelligence still stands by their claim. I'm sure you believe Wilson over them.
3) Wilson decided to write the op-ed and compromise his wife's identity.  Nobody knew who he was so he decided to shine the spotlight on himself.  It would take a superspy to figure out who his wife was after his thousands of interviews and TV appearances.
4) He claimed he was sent by Cheney and delivered a report to his desk.  No report ever existed and Cheney had no ideas who he was.  His wife lobbied hard for him.  The guy is delusional.
5) His wife was NEVER a covert agent.  She was a pencil pusher who was never in danger.  The fact that they quickly posed for a Vanity Fair spread dressed like they were extras in a James Bond movie kind of confirms that she feels safe.  I love the fact they were discussing with a reporter which actors would play them in a movie.
6) Wilson quickly went on Kerry's payroll.  This was a scam to attempt to debunk something that was TRUE.  He thought he could hide behind his wife's skirt.  Kind of like Howard Dean hiding behind the 9/11 widow's skirt.
7) The Dems hired (as in paid)another clown to create a bullshit story and it blew up in their face.  Just like Bill Burkett and the bogus Bush dociments.  If you guys are so honest and just, how come you always hire these fringe carachters to lie for you?

PS- It's not working very well for you.

If Plame was not a covert agent why did the CIA ask the FBI to open a criminal investigation after she was outed by Novak?

I don't give a flying fuck about Wilson or Plame going on Vanity Fair.
Debunk them all you want with right wing spin and bloviating.
It does not change the TRUTH that there WAS no yellowcake, there ARE no WMD, and Bush Cheney and Rumsfeld are Liars. If Bush were put under the same level of scrutiny and were held to the same set of standards that the Republican Party put on Clinton, he would have been brought up on Impeachment charges no less than 14 times now.

But, typical of the Republican ouevre of misdirection and obfuscation, you conveniently forget the real crimes being committed by the greedy cynics of the Bush-Cheney Regime, focusing the political sleight-of-hand on vapor, and banking on the short memories of American Cretins, er, i mean Citizens.
With all due respect, rightwinger... your guys are full of shit.

that Justice was served in Rove's case.

why else would a person vote Republican, except for the platform of prevarication?

Dick Nixon was the last honest Republican.  Right out of his own mouth, we know he was not a crook.

Ever since him, they've been running wizards, that is, people who don't actually know enough to know any better.

First off, the thread was about Rove not being indicted for outing superspy Valerie Plame. That is what I was addressing.  Sorry you're so sensative.  Stop hiring clowns to do your dirty work and these things will stop blowing up in your face.

I'm not going to give my 1000th post on Iraq, WMDs, etc.  It's all been said.  But I will address me (Reps)being "full of shit".  We stand for something!  We say what it is and we stick with it.  When someone betrays our principals (Bush 41) we won't support him.  What do you guys stand for?  Are you aware how the Dems betray your (& their own)principals?  They approved every military action Bush has taken even though you know they didn't want to.  They nominated someone who voted for the war and your presumptive 2008 nominee also voted for the war.  They teamed up on and crushed Dean.  The guy that probably best represents todays Dem ideals. The pathetic thing is you will all go out and vote for her(?)and every other Dem lapdog anyway.  In the end it is you and the Dems who are "full of shit".  Bitch and whine all you want on this board and in your personal life but you will continue to vote for people that betray themselves and you.

PS- On a personal note.  If you do vote for Dems you are not doing Israel a big favor.

but if an administration does not show their work, they better get the answer right.

Congress and the Exec define "war".   It's alarming that they refer to it in a way that has no likely end - ie, they define us into a state of perennial war.   So we're "at war" indefinitely, despite their lack of stated goals, plans, and no obvious progress in suppressing the 9/11 perps.  Meanwhile, they are setting us up for Armageddon by attacking or scaring all the people NOT involved in 9/11, running up our debt into their cronies' bank accounts, and generally ignoring the longer term security interests of the USA.

Damn convenient for politicians, and alarming for American democracy.

The problem with voting out the Republicans (while we still have the chance) is that the Democrats would probably replace them.  I suspect we have to take a chance on that, if for no other reason than to demonstrate and exercise our right to fire politicians.

The larger problem is the polarization of the parties and politics in the USA, and I suppose that could be traced back to the 60s, if somebody  wants to suggest that questions about civil rights, Vietnam, etc were illegitimate.   Time has a way of healing these things, but only if politics are not conducted by ideologues, and I would - as many Republicans have - point to the religious right, and their disastrous influence in merging politics and religion.    They are rejecting the constitution, and are determined to make the USA into a 3rd world theocracy.   Any political party who supports them needs to be rejected.

At last count, he brought Rove before the grand jury 4 times.

Now, I can believe that prosecutors are sometimes wreckless, (somebody comes to mind here, but then you would accuse me of changing subjects) but if half of the points you made are true, Libby would not be indicted by now either.

It's pretty damn simple to determine something like whether Valery Plame was a covert agent.  Kindly get your head out of the right wing blogs long enough to realize that much. Maybe she feels safe in the US-- but she's definitely not useful as a field agent anymore.
