So libs, if Trump is doing so poorly, why do the numbers say the exact opposite?

Liberals are not just wrong, to a man they are cheerleading for death ... cuz they hope it will hurt Trump in November.  Yeah, they are that disgusting.

We shouldn't be on the list. Early detraction and reaction gets us off this list.
I remember when the mortality rate was 1.2, about 2 weeks ago,  now it's triple and maybe rising.
I'd pump the breaks on this for now.

He has NO clue why the "per million" stat is important or the projections. If he did, he wouldn't say something as stupid as they are "two weeks" ahead of us.

That addresses your point too, as there are far too many liberals like him that have no desire to place the numbers in ANY context and that is obviously for political reasons. He is fucking pathetic.

No idea what "we shouldn't be on the list" even means.

And were you calling for ANY libs to "pump the breaks" when they ran with faulty, horrifically high and grossly inaccurate numbers and then using them to trash Trump?

Just asking.

To the point where  second place isn't even close to us. Sorry that's what I meant.
And you now how I feel about this, trump never got in front of this from the messaging to a plan to attach this, even the recovery. He's taking the "Well let's see what happens "approach.
I don't speak for the other "Libs" here. I see their point, some I agree some I don't. I don't place too much stock on numbers, especially now. Hence the pump the breaks on this
Thank God that there were some Gov and Mayors that just didn't wait for trump, Dem and Repub.

The point you are making is that we are not THE BEST at handling this, NOT that we suck at it. That is a very big distinction to make.

Had liberals made that point, that would have been a fair point to make, but they DIDN'T make that point, did they?

And please give me a date Trump should have acted. Fauci was saying well into March we didn't need to social distance.

Are you saying Trump shouldn't have listened to him? Really?

All the liberals love him I thought.  So are you blaming Fauci now?

He eliminates the pandemic response team, but that goes into Aug/Sept. so that's out. But if the reports are real, and if the intel community notified trump in early Dec or say mid Dec, then I'd say that would've been a good time to do something.
Like I mentioned before, in my dealings with China, I heard something was wrong in a region of China and I'm just a Joe  shmoe.
And I don't recall the Dr. not saying that we didn't need social distancing well into March...I doubt that. So he said "Business as usual", in late March?? You sure?
And I'm not blaming Fauci, but I do wish that trump and Fauci will get on the same page. The Dr. is the voice of reason now, he's who I want to hear from

out of YOUR ass.  Numbers don't lie, only Laffy does.

But I should have been more clear.

It was on February 29th he said on the "Today Show" we should do nothing yet (I linked the vid here several times) and it wasn't until mid-March that they recommended schools/businesses be closed.

So if you listened to a stooge like Laffy, you would have to believe that it was Trump's fault we didn't act before Fauci recommended him do so. Does that make any sense?????

Do you not see how desperate he and others have become? "He was told in February to close down! No it was January! Damn it's December!!! Secret email was discovered and it was NOVEMBER now!!!!!!!!" I guess the next thing is that Trump should have acted BEFORE he beat Hillary. lmao

This is what happens when people are emotionally involved in an issue. When all the news you get is from Daily Kooks and Raw Dog, you are going to be wrong quite a bit AND look like a TDS riddled loon in the process.

Jack, I would like to think that you actually care about understanding this issue on more than a 3rd grade level.  But then I remember that you struggle to do math at a 3rd grade level and it all makes sense to me.  Do you even care that you constantly spew nonsense?  Let's play your idiotic game of cherry-picking countries and use only their numbers without any context.

Deaths per million
USA                    50
Taiwan               0.2
Japan                 0.7
South Korea     4
Mexico              1.3
India                  0.16

Cases per million
USA                   1400
Taiwan              16
Japan                 37
South Korea     202
Mexico              25
India                  5.5

According to your dim-witted and idiotic methodology we are getting smoked by not only first world countries like Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.  We are also getting trounced by developing countries like Mexico and India.  How about them apples huh?  You still think we're doing such a great 10/10 job?  Do you really think Mexico and India are really handling this better than us by this much?  Please...let's hear you say it.  India is making us look like clowns when it comes to public heath right?

I'm sure everyone else here gets it, so I'm not going to explain.  But if you still don't...let me know and I'll explain it to you later using small words so you can understand.

One more time...the TRUE quality of a pandemic response is not really the end numbers.  It is based on how quickly the problem is identified and if rapidly decisive action is taken to do the things everyone knows need to be done.  The things you need to do in a pandemic are no mystery.  Things like quickly scaling up testing capacity, performing early identification/contract tracing/quarantine, and building up heath care capacity and supplies, and initiation of social distancing measures.

Think about this.  China told the WHO they had a problem on December 31st.  THAT DAY Taiwan started boarding every flight from China, took everyone's temperature, and started to quarantine everyone with a fever.  Imagine how much better off we would be if we did things like that?

Hey Jack, if you don't want to listen to me, at least listen to Happy here.  He's absolutely right.  This country has unbelievable advantages of time, money, technology, resources and expertise.  If we acted quickly to mobilize all of that, we'd be right at the very top of the world in our results.

But instead, you're lumping us in with countries like the UK who have a prime minister who initially was going to do the "ride it out" and do nothing strategy.  Until they told him that would kill 500K people.  Then he changed course, defiantly shook hands with infected people in the hospital, and put himself in the ICU fighting for his life.  Really...that's the level of competence you want to compare us to?  That's the bar you're so proud to jump over?

I thought you guys are always saying how America is the best in the world at things.  Now you are satisfied with saying we're not the worst.  Get yourself some self-respect.

P.S.  It is okay to criticize the president and want him to do better while supporting him at the same time.  That's one of those freedoms we get to have here.

Which would be the OBVIOUS countries to compare the U.S. to.

Liberals RAVE about Western Europe all day and all night UNTIL...COVID-19 makes an appearance. THATS WHY I MENTIONED THEM GENIUS.

Feel free to knock Fauci now as....AGAIN...he was saying we did NOT have to social distance into March. So he is either an expert or he isn't. Which is it?

See how I boxed you in? ;)

No, that's not political at all. LOL

I cant wait to hear your excuses for Italy, Spain and France. Do tell.

And while we are at, please tell me why the W.H.O. was spreading China's lies:
-They told us the virus couldn't spread person to person. Lie.
-They told us face masks didn't work. Lie.
-They said travel/trade bans from China were not needed. Lie.

And then we have Fauci telling Trump into March there was NO need to social distance. But according to YOU, Trump should know better than both Fauci and "W.H.O." And all this time liberals were telling us they were the experts. LOL

Right, "doctor?" ;)
