that Biden narrowly beat Trump in 2020 has a lot to do with it, but conditions are not the same this time around.  In 2020, Trump was being blamed for a poor response to Covid and the life-saving vaccines were too little to late to help him win.  It would be eight months into Biden's term before he would surpass Trump on the number of deaths on his watch.  Even with the vaccines, more people died under Biden in eight months than did in twelve months under Trump.  Biden had the vaccine and was still incompetent in his management of it.  

 
We also now have the hindsight of seeing what each of these men will do, and in that, the advantage goes to Trump.  At the debates, he will trot out Ronald Reagan's words that resulted in the crushing defeat of incumbent Jimmy Carter, "If you're better off now than you were four years ago, you should vote for Joe, if you're not, you should vote for me."  Now that we have a full-term record of accomplishments (or in the case of Biden, lack thereof) it's easy to compare their records and see who has the skills to get us back to a roaring economy and a good life for all Americans.  

No one from the dem party had that "it" quality that was needed at that time. I didn't see anyone really polished who I felt we needed. Biden had the empathy to deal with what we were going through, the I can get us together to pull out of this attitude. Biden gave us that. That wise old man who can pull us out this wreck.

Fuck he could have stopped the withdrawal all together and destroyed the Taliban en mass. Their takeover has led to the death of our allies who we said we would give visas to, people who risked everything for us and we FUCKED THEM on so many levels. After we left the country suffered the worst starvation in history. Dont even get me started on the equipment and weapons we left behind.  

3. The Border is an even Bigger disaster of Human suffering brought on by throwing the doors open to anyone and everyone. The number of people trying to get to this country that are murdered, raped, robbed, by the cartels is just beyond imagining.

Currency comparison does not give you a correct picture of devaluation.  Unless every American hedges international currencies, your analysis means nothing to them.  Each national economy is unique and is not judged by other economies.  All the Americans see is that gas is higher, groceries are higher, rent is higher and mortgage rates are higher average consumer debt is higher, and you know what is down?   Personal savings and net asset value, so yeah, Biden has fucked them over because they are only invested in dollars, not other currencies.  

 
So while the dollar has not been devalued against every world currency, dollars will only buy a fraction of what they would buy two years ago, and that is how our currency has been devalued through inflation.  Gas prices in California are nearing double what they were when Biden took office (and only 25 cents lower than their peak in 2022), and that is the most destructive type of devaluation for the average consumer.

The best you can do is Gas Buddy?  And it's hearsay at that, from "lamestream" media CNN.  Well lucky for you, even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while.  The national average price for gas on January 20, 2021 was $2.38.  On September 7, 2023 the average price was $3.82.  That's an increase of 60%.  

 
In California, the average price of gas in January, 2021 was $3.262.  In August, 2023 it was $5.13.  That's an increase of 56%, not "double" as CDL claimed.

That is a story about a single location, selected specifically because it is charging THE highest price in CA. The location is Schlafer's Auto REPAIR.

I emphasize REPAIR because I worked in a gas station - repair station when I was in HS. The main biz was Auto REPAIR. Gas was a distraction and a side biz (except that there were benefits to having the giant "Big Name Gas Company" lighted signs and other benefits). At least where I was, the REPAIR stations always charged more for gas than the GAS ONLY (maybe a mini-mart) stations. On a stretch of road with 5 - 10 stations, the prices could differ by quite a bit.
