Just checking in, are Dems still pro Supreme Court reform?

They also proposed allocating state electoral votes by national popular vote, which in 2024 would have made the USA map solid red. Haha.  Yeah, forget about that one.

Can you imagine what this election would have been like by popular vote? Possibly the worst upset in history.

Biden called for reforms this past July, a lot more recent than THREE YEARS AGO:
FIRST, Biden called for a constitutional amendment that would make clear that there is no immunity for crimes a former president committed while in office.
SECOND, he suggested that there be term limits for Supreme Court justices, recommending that the nine justices be held to 18-year terms, so presidents would nominate a new justice every two years.
THIRD, Biden called for a binding code of ethics for members of the high court; something that would require justices to disclose gifts, refrain from public political activity and recuse themselves from cases in which they or their spouses have financial or other conflicts of interest.

Nothing about expanding the Court to 13.  Another righty idjit heard from.  Where do they get these imbecile righties?  Is there some kind of farm where they grow and harvest stupid righties?

PS: I am in favor of expanding the court. In the 19th century the number of Justices was set to equal the number of Circuit Courts of Appeal. There used to be nine, now there are 13. Obviously, that's not happening for the foreseeable future.

Funny how BigP goes silent when it turns out the source is his new Senator’s own letterhead.

...to expand the Court.
July 25, 2024 - Dems were CALLING TO EXPAND the Court.  See the difference?

We should expand the court to 30 justices! Why stop at 13?

LOL!!!

to expand the court to 13. See above.
PS: Mitch McConnell has already packed it by first refusing to consider Obama's nominee because ten months from an election was too close, only to ram Barrett through ONE month before an election.
He also packed the court with nominees who perjured themselves saying to the Senate Judiciary Committee that they accepted stare decisis on Roe v. Wade only to reverse themselves on Dobbs.
This is also the most corrupt court EVER

They wanted to expand the court. Now that Trump will be in charge of appointments, do you think there’s much support for the court packing scheme now?

There have been phone calls made to Sotomayor to step down RIGHT NOW so they can preserve that seat!

There is of course a rationale for this. Blind obsession with power.

Who said anything about 30 Justices let alone 50? Only Wanker.
And, of course, he doesn't even TRY to debate the rationale for 13. Let alone acknowledge that McConnell totally gamed the system. Why?
Blind obsession with power.
Which also describes Trump and the rest of the Republicans.

If we are going back to the 1800s for policy cues, what’s next Nicky? Repeal the 13th and 19th Amendments?
