So much for freedom of speechsad_smile

How do you feel about Kerry's attempts to muzzle the Swift Boat Vets for Truth's "Free Speech" in attempting to market their book and the interference of Hanoi John's lawyers attempting to sue booksellers?  Or air their commercials?

HJ alert!

As I believe John Kerry (and the numerous credible sources who support him)on this issue, and I have seen these tactics used in campaigns before, I feel damned good about his efforts to prevent an organization that is a thin disguise for campaign distraction from spreading lies about him for the gain of his opponents.

I also see that as a very different matter than regular citizens displaying their support for a candidate on their property and having goons running around taking them and defacing them.  And gee, here I was being so good to NOT mention that it was Deserter George supporters doing it.

Am I missing somethting here?  What freedom of speech issue is at stake?

includes being able to put a candidate's sign on your own property without having it stolen and defaced by the goon squad from the other side.

Oh, that is unless someone thinks that the DNC is actually setting this up so they can assume the victim posture...

If you can't see the connection between an article about a 527 attack ad by MoveOn.org and discussing the role of 527 groups in the campaign, you need new glasses.

Grrrr...my original link was ONLY about the bit on the yard signs being stolen and defaced.  Fucking Yahoo links suck.  I only meant to post something about the yard signs, Carl, so I didn't understand.  As for the Move.On ads, I didn't mean to comment on all of that, I will let someone else take that particular torch.
