Consumers are making big ticket purchases now before the tariffs go into full effect. Credit card debt is at record levels as are late payments. Polling has it’s limitations, but there was no purposely intension to put out fake polls until the 2016 election cycle as far as I know. The left figured out that if they pay pollsters to say that they have something ridiculous like 90% want to vote for them and then they steal the election then the fake poll helps cover their asses.
