And I've found blogs written by these fence jumpers with an overwhelming sense of entitlement that because "they need it" its justified. Well that settles it. Guess I can just steal whatever I want cuz I "need it". We need to plant mines at the borders. And deport liberal traitors to Mexico who think nothing of selling our sovreignty.
Really? NAFTA wasn't around back when Reagan was President, and we had millions of illegals. Remember how we gave them amnesty then, and our leaders "promised" they would do better at stopping illegal immigration?
Sorry bud, NAFTA does not begin to explain or justify the amount of illegal aliens who come to the United States. One of the arguments used to PASS NAFTA was that it would improve economic conditions in countries that tend to have the highest rates of illegal immigration, thus creating a disincentive to come here illgally. Why go through the trouble and risk of sneaking in here, when there are good paying jobs to be had at home?
We know now that argument was as stupid as the promise from our politicians to crack down on illegal immigration, but it is what it is, and chucking NAFTA isn't going to change a thing. Promising tuition assistance to illegals though, will absolutely encourage ever greater numbers to come here illegally. Exactly what we DON'T need and can't afford.
