Let me get this straight:

It's uncool to bother getting an advanced degree, have a political orientation and speak of it IN PASSING if at all while teaching ADULTS that are largely already formed morally and ethically.

However, it's cool to get only a undergraduate degree and a credential then espouse your brand of religion and "values" while teaching highly impressionable elementary school aged children even if their  parents are another religion, non-religious or just of the belief in separation of church and state.

Sounds completely consistent to me.

sounds like we have a pretty basic formula here:

educated and smart = liberal

dumb and dumber = conservative
