The Trump felony convictions used White House discussions as evidence which is now prohibited by the SCOTUS immunity ruling. There is a strong likelihood the convictions will be reversed and a new trial will have to be held excluding that evidence. The sentencing has already been delayed based on this change in status.

Sentencing delayed (if ever) two months, to Sept 18.

Seriously? Wouldn’t a touch or normalcy be nice? Just a touch?

And here's why.
1) The fundamental criminal acts occurred before the election. The hush money payment to Daniels took place before the election. The only thing that did NOT happen before the election was Trump repaying Cohen.
2) When Trump DID repay Cohen he wrote the checks on his personal account. So how can that be a protected "official" act?
3) Also, although the act took place while Trump was President, it was in furtherance of a crime that took place BEFORE he was President.

Hundreds of celebrities do it every year.

shelling out a few hundred dollars to try to quash a lie being told about one of us.  $130,000 is an insignificant sum for Trump.

That lie isn't worth the paper it's printed on. But Willy has swallowed it whole.

The Stormy Daniels affair had already become known in 2011 when Trump began hinting that he going to run for POTUS. She couldn't complete a deal for the story. Stormy had spoken the several news outlets. ... In 2016, Pecker found out that Stormy was shopping the story again, during the campaign. ... Stormy eventually agreed to $130k and signed an NDA. AFTER she signed the NDA, the 2011 stories resurfaced and, because of the NDA she LIED to the press about having sex with Trump. ... In 2018 (one year in), the WSJ noticed that Trump had declared a $130k payment to Cohen in his required financial disclosures and they looked into it further and found the correlation to Stormy. After the WSJ story appeared, on Air Force 1, Trump was asked straight out if he knew about the payments to Stormy and Trump LIED to the press and said he knew nothing about it. ... After it came out that Trump had LIED and had been signing checks and so on, even his lawyers said, "He had to lie to the press about paying Stormy because of the NDA." (I think that both Tacopina and Giuliani used the same argument. Giuliani further said, "No crime! He used his own money! It was all personal and had nothing to do with POTUS so there's no campaign finance fraud!"
