Colin Kaepernick - right or wrong? Before you answer...

...read what Jackie Robinson had to say:

"I cannot stand and sing the anthem.  I cannot salute the flag."

Jackie Robinson did not say that in 1947; he said it in 1972.  Forty-five years later, things aren't much better for minorities now that we have a racist president.

I am still not much of a flag waver, but speaking as a minority who entered the work force about 45 years ago i strongly disagree that things are not MUCH better for minorities today. I do agree that having a racist POTUS has set us back many years however, that racist POTUS being Barrack Obama of course.

As for Colin Kaepernick, he can do what ever the fuck he wants. Jackie Robinson was a ground breaker, a hero and a VERY brave man to have done what he did against all the odds that were stacked against him, by comparison Colin Kaepernick looks like kind of a spoiled whiner, a second rate QB of mediocre talent who would be all but forgotten except for his kneeling during the anthem.

I support Kaepernick's right to protest in much the same vein as I support the KKK's right to assemble. I don't have to agree with someone to support their right to be heard

He is using his First Amendment rights to free speech which can be dissent on various issues, policies and objects that define this country.     National Anthem is one of them and he has every right, so do anyone for that matter to sit or kneel when it is played.

If he stands up and puts his hand on the heart, then it is a show of support to  what happened in Charlottesville, VA and the support it got from the most disgraceful human being (no need to name)  and the executive pardon given to one of the most hated racist sheriff in the country who rounded up and imprisoned people of color.

When I watch football I'm not looking for politics.

Jackie Robinson did a lot for MLB, he was truly a great player and a greater man.
Jackie Robinson expressed his political views after his baseball career was over.

When Kaepernick  started his political statements against America  he was still playing football and race baiter President  Obama was in charge.
Kaepernick was offered more than he's worth to keep playing, he refused to take a pay cut even though his skills had dropped considerably.
Now  no one wants top give him a job.     He's nothing more than a bad quarterback and a whining ass.

The quarterback is supposed to be a leader of the team.
My favorite NFL team has a Black quarterback, if he disrespects my country and the game of football by playing politics when the game is on, I'll quit watching him too.

I agree with Jim Brown, play football or play activist,  they are not one and the same like Antifa and terrorists.

"Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose."

Gawd you're dumb.

The link will provide the truth behind, why these guys are taking a knee.

Also Quad continues to race bait because he and the other Trump cult members.
Just don't have anything else to defend themselves.

So the real embarrassment is coming soon for Trump and his stupid supporters.

Protest on the street - You shouldn't be stopping traffic!
Entertainers/Actors protest  - They should stick to acting and entertainment!
Sports stars protest - I didn't tune in to watch football to see this!

Damned if you do and weak if you don't.  I don't think it's a matter of when or where or how someone chooses to protest.  It just that these damn people have the audacity to protest at all.  It's all a way of deflecting from the issue at hand.

1.  Children should be taught to never play in traffic.
Adults blocking traffic should be educated about street safety they didn't learn as children.
Every adult should realize you never know when a driver with Schizophrenia could mistakenly  believe  pedestrians are a threat,  a driver  might have a stroke or other issue and lose control, accidentally running  over people impeding traffic while protesting in the street .
People blocking streets could be slowing/stopping emergency personnel to reach those who need help and cause unnecessary deaths.

2. Entertainers/Actors don't stage political protests in the beginning, middle or end of a movie we pay to watch.
They express their political statements outside of the movie they are paid to act in.
It would pay  Football players well if they followed  their actor friends examples  when protesting.

3. 61,000  pedestrians injured by  by motor vehicles  in 2006 , 70,000 pedestrians injured by motor vehicles in 2015.
    Do you see a correlation?
How many injured/dead were following  basic safety rules of not walking in the middle of the street, always walk on the sidewalk if available, always walk in the direction where you are facing traffic and never try to stop a 3000 lb. vehicle  from reaching it's intended destination with a hundred or two hundred lbs.  of flesh and blood.

So Colin Kaepernick protest was about Police shootings of unarmed black and brown people.
Then people like you needed to change the subject and lied to say it was against the military.

Quad you cannot get passed your own race baiting.
You and the others saying former President Obama was a race baiter is a lie.
It was his skin color that you and the other Trump cult could not get passed!

So stop your bs already and you don't understand anything about peaceful protests.
