However the clear winner IMHO was Rubio. Jeb Bush seemed out of sorts after getting drop kicked by Rubio. Trump and Carson held serve. Kaische, Huckabee and Rand Paul looked/sounded desperate. Chris Christie and Ted Cruz held their own with some well timed jabs at the CNBC moderators. Karly Fiorina IMHO did nothing memorable. It is not looking good for the Jeb Bush clan this Thursday morning.
but I think they overplayed their hand by asking some rather insulting questions and then acted shocked when the candidates wouldn't play their little game. THAT was my favorite part of the debate. I really didn't think these guys could agree on anything, but they came together rather nicely to fight their common enemy, maybe there is hope for them yet?
It is ironic that because of the moderators open bias against them, almost all of the candidates did at least okay. The only real losers were Kasich and Bush, the two candidates that tried unsuccessfully to go negative against someone else. Bush was slapped down rather easily by Rubio and Kasich was put in his place in about 10 seconds by Donald Trump. In all fairness to Kasich, he looked ready to go toe to toe with all the other candidates, but when the tone of the debate changed all the wind went out of his sails. It's a pity as I wanted to like him. Where I do really disagree with the talking head who try to tell us what we just saw with our own eyes is with Ben Carson. According to them he did just fine, but I saw a guy completely out of his element and quite frankly he looked rather lost when pressed for details. I think the biggest question right now is who is going to get all that super pac money that was intended to go to Bush? I just don't see much "smart money" going his way after his pitiful performance over the last few weeks. It does look like Rubio is now the best "insider" candidate in the race.
Hey Matt, have you quit screwing your sister yet? and as a follow up, do you think you are fit to walk the streets with decent people after what you did?
What kind of answer do you give to questions like that? I think that "gotcha" shit backfired on them last night and made the GOP look like the aggrieved parties to all but the most rabid and partisan left wingers.
Not the least of which was when he admonished the mods for harping about fantasy football. Something along the lines of "with all the challenges facing this country, all you want to talk about is FANTASY FUCKING FOOTBALL!!!" (yes I did add the "fucking" part of the quote, but that's what he meant to say)
It's hilarious to watch the Right crap their pants over "rabid partisan witch hunt questions that backfired on them" when they just admitted the whole Benghazi crap was nothing but partisan nonsense even though the sheep bragged for years it was a "real" investigation.
Kept them chasing squirrels so they wouldn't notice their puppet masters were doing nothing to help the country.
Righties have the thinnest skin in the world.
They can call Obama an African witch doctor who beats off to a poster of Hitler while building concentration camps for all of us, but GOD FORBID anyone ever ask them any "gotcha" questions.
You're just mad your Messiah Trump got humiliated saying he "never said that" about Rubio and Zuckerburg when it was on his own damn website.
He lied! She should have been prepared with the reference to his direct quote! Sooner or later Trump is going to find a mod whom he can't browbeat. Well, maybe!
the gov. out of our lives. So, how is that a gotcha question? But, that is a great line. Perhaps Obama should use it every time the Republicans want to address an issue a legitimate issue.
It was simply a rather irrelevant question when you have ten candidates fighting to divide two hours of air time to make their "major" points.
The gotcha question of the night was the one to Donald Trump asking him if he were a Cartoon Villain. He handled it just right IMO, it really was an insulting statement, and not a question at all. The debate looked more like it was being run by MSNBC than CNBC, it looks like CNBC seriously miscalculated how the candidates would react and it was admirable that to a man (and woman) they refused to play along. They may still be the Klown Kar, but they were smarter than the mods doing their level best to humiliate them.
Hey, Laughable: I'm so glad you found something on here that made you laugh. It's only fair that you get to read something that makes you laugh, too. The rest of us get to laugh at almost everything you post all day long. It's just not fair!
