research for fraud. Rather and CBS committed credibility suicide.  Their credibility is zero.  Rather is nothing but a flunky for the DNC.

Also, the wordprocessors in the early 70's cost about 20K and the military used manual typewriters and a few IBM electic ball typewriters at that time, NOT 20k WORDPROCESSORS. CBS and Rather stooped to an old Soviet KGB dirty trick. They forged the docs.

Also #2, Kerry made his Vietnam combat service the focal point of his campaign-as he has in every single campaign he has ever been in.  This time it's not gonna work. Ha ha ha!  Kerry is nothing but a fraud.  How's he gonna fight terror?  Run and hide in NewZealand!?!  How's he gonna get the economy moving faster in the positive direction?  Oh yeah, I remember, he's gonna tax us into prosperity.  OH GOD HELP US ALL.  We're doomed I tella doomed if John shitforbrains horseface Kerry wins.

Not necessarily since:

A: Superscript was available

B: Proportional spacing was available

C: Apostrophe was available

D: Font was available

around in the late 60's early 70's drinking, getting stoned and chasing women. Big Fucking deal! So Bush spent his business live skating by on his family name and money! So Bush profited from some unethical business deals and  tax-payer supported baseball deals. So he was a forgetable gov. of Texas. Candidate for president Bush, said  he could see no reason to run a federal deficit ever. As candidate and then as President, Bush said some economist were concerned we would pay off the dept to fast which would be bad for the economy. Well we don't have to worry about that now do we. Latest 2004 deficit #'s 427 billion $'S and even that is not really accurate now is it! So we get attacked by Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorist and after a swipe at them, we go after a secular broken down has been thug! All because Bush has neither the insight or the balls to fight the right people. And now I'm supposed to feel safer with Bush in the White House. I was born in 1957 and have lived my live under some kind of real or perceived threat, from global nuclear war, other war, crime it's always something. I do not walk around feeling afraid all the time. Bush has proved himself unworthy of the job and deserves to be fired. By the way Ronald Regan did not win the cold war, he was taking a nap in the White House when the Soviet economy collasped. Some people will take credit for sun coming up.    Bob

My father had an Olympia typewriter [to the best of my memory, this was the brand name then], which it did have superscript and you could have ordered the fonts you liked [Times New Roman].  This was in the 60s.

It was mind bugling how the charlatans were trying to discredit this document based on the supposition that these features did not exist then.  I am sure we have plenty of simpletons that believed this.

Now, I am going to watch the rest of The Quiet American on Cable, based on Graham Greene’s novel!

and low and behold a complete boxed set of the Encyclopaedia Britannica bound and printed fell to the street out of the chaos of the explosion, on a book shelf and in the correct order!

Weird huh?

About the same probability of those letters emanating from an "Olympia Typewriter" in1973.  In a backwater town in Texas in and under funded National Guard office known to still utilize manual typewriters.

QA, for you information, it seems that International Type Corporation (inventors of Times Roman) didn't license the use of "Times Roman" to anybody until the early 1980's, no, not even "Olympia"!

Especially records generated from the same station?  That would settle the question right there.  There must be tons of these things available.

Though I seem to remember that military typewriters weren't so high end. Then again, I was enlisted, not officer.

Either way, however, it doesn't reflect well on Bush, if anyone thinks about it. That's the problem, if anyone thinks about it.

There are still gaps of time in his records.  That so many of them were "lost" says something.  That he didn't keep them himself says a lot about how he really thought of his "service" avoiding the war. That somebody on his side would either throw a hoax, or that they would so readily cry "Hoax" shows our system is damaged.

You would think that they would have better mud to sling that this crap, even if the documents aren't forgeries.  If they are fake, then it is simply pathetic.
Why not focus on Bush's first presidential term?  Hasn't it, according to them, been a catastrophe with an unjustified war and a weak economy?  Can't they come up with something better?  This story, IMHO, reflects more on the poor ability of the Kerry campaign and their buddies at CBS News to portray George W. in a bad light, than it reflects on George W.'s service 35 years ago.

But this does not matter to his constituency, who prayed solemnly to God that Bush was His chosen man after 9/11.  Unfortunately, after they made that prayer in all sincerity, to believe anything less before Osama goes to Washington as our new ruler and sifts the ashes would be blasphemous to God.  So awful was 9/11, even luke warm religious are inclined to think  this way.  So Republicans are willing to grin and bear it over Bush's corruption and incompetence to avoid each of their own personal crises of faith. Not to mention that other people have simply been bought out with "tax incentives." All of it a source of frustration to the rest of us.

Carnage in Iraq?  Evisceration of our economy?  It doesn't matter to any of you.  It's simply a mental exercise for you. Faith is your real measure of your manliness. Can you keep your faith in spite of this?  Sure! Easy. What you never consider is, there will be no reward for doing it, ever.

"His chosen man".  I know a lot of people who voted for Bush and none of them speak in this fanatic hyper-religious talk.  I think you are making a "straw man" argument or portrayal of all people who vote for Bush as extreme religious zealots.  I can't believe that is the case, at least not for the majority of voters.

Then what the person did when he or she was in those young people's shoes is pertinent.  I do not see how you can get around that simple fact.

his job over the last four years, when he actually was commander-in-chief.  Whether he took a flight physical 35 years ago seems less relevant.

Uh, dude- He does better 35 years ago.

by the yardstick of the last 4 years, he ought to be drawn and quartered!  Or at least given the Dreyfus treatment!

It would be ok for you for a captain to lead an army into battle instead of a general who has probaly seen more and understand more about suvccessful battle plans?  The captain could actually be in place for a while leading that army, but if that captain's record has what are frankly failures (not killing Bin Laden at Tora Bora, going to a poorly timed war in Iraq based upon faulty information), wouldn't the fact that the captain is only a captain and not a seasoned general become obvious?  I am not saying that Mr.Kerry will be a great leader, but I am saying that Mr.Bush's record over the last 3+ years is fraught with potholes and the consequences of those failures could be problematic for this country for years to come.
A lot of people like you like to point to Mr.Bush invading Afganistan after the murder of alomst 3000 of our citizens and some visitors on our own soil.  My take is that he or any other person who as president and faced with such an atrocity, would not have had any other choice.  But what many other presidents would have done is finish off Al Qaida in Afganistan or where ever they ran before taking on another war.

performance from his first term as Prez.  We certainly disagree about the evaluation of his first term.  To try and focus the debate on whether someone had a flight physical 35 years ago and making forged documents about it makes the Kerry campaign and the Dems look very desperate and weak. IMHO.

An admitted draft dodger!

Of fucking course not!  Why, because you are a bias individual whose candidate is a loser, a one trick pony, his Vietnam record.  Which now has been questioned by those who served with him.

Kerry's toast, might be as big as Mondale's loss in 1984 even with his attempts to hide his real self, the Swifties, and Vietnam Vets Against Kerry will destroy him, as is fitting.

Remember that old saying, "whatever goes around, comes around!"  I love watching Kerry choke on it!, me an over 500,000 other Vietnam Vets.

You should read "Unfit for Command" and ask yourself why 250 fellow Swifties who are overwhelmingly democrats feel so strongly about a member of their small group becoming Commander in Chief!   It would make more sense if they were brimming with pride over it - wouldn't it?  But to a man they felt honor bound to expose this fraud for what he is, a lying, self aggrandizing, opportunistic egomaniac unfit for command.

Bribite.  Less than half of the 250 that you mentioned even served in Vietnam during the time that Mr.Kerry was there.  Also, have you asked why all except something like one person that actually served on the same boat with Mr.Kerry support his recollections?  The people that actually served on his boat have nothing to fear by coming out against him, if that was their true feeling.  I know that you will dismiss the people who served on the same boat as being democrats and being on the DNC payroll, but such nonsense is typical for a loser that carried others bullets and water while on recon missions - couldn't be the "man" yourself, so it still must burn your ass.
Also, speaking of numbers, why would only one person in the flight wing that Mr.Bush supposedly served with in Alabama even remember that he was there?  I would certainly remember such a person if I actually served with him, so why is it that so many have no recollection?
As far as Clinton is concerned.  I did not support him on his first run and nor the second.  But as I watched almost fanatical efforts to undo two elections, I sided with Mr.Clinton, not for his sake as much as for the sake of my country.  Even with my ambivalence about him, I think that his economic policies were much better than what we have now.

The numbers of people who actually served with Kerry are so small because of his 3 week (after training) tour of duty!

Everyone of the Swift Boat Vets who signed on the book came home after one or more FULL TOURS OF DUTY to a country turned against them by Kerry's lies about attrocities.  Everyone of them felt his leadership in the V.V.A.W.!

Your Bush rants have no legs, everytime the surface, they shit all over Kerry.  And I love it!  Nobody really cares since Bush never made his service record an issue, unlike Kerry who has made it the only weapon in his arsenal - other than Bush is wrong - but that isn't flying because every other day he says he would have done the same thing.  On the odd days he disagrees with himself.

Finally, your attempt to insult me for my service in Vietnam reveals your lack of knowledge about warfare, allowing me to assume like so many others you are lying about your own Veteran status not unlike most of the members of V.V.A.W.!

His first tour was served in the Bay of Tonkin off the coast of North Vietnam which was not too friendly. He was on a Swift Boat for 4 months his 2nd tour, not 3 weeks as you have so boldly lied about yet again. All well documented.

Some of those 250 Swift Boat Vets have asked repeatedly to have their names removed from that list also as they want NOTHING to do with the lies that are being told.

And noone has come forward to prove that your boy W was in AL even though rewards have been offered for several years.

Kerry was a Swift boat commander for 3 1.2 months, two weeks for training.  No excuse, I made a mistake.

Although I know you have read the bullshit about "some" of the Swifties wanting to distance themselves from "Unfit for Command", you will not find any names!  There are none.  Your "Some" was most likely reported first by Dan Rather, it is a lie from a biased democratic front.

Bush's commanding officer has come forth and verified Bush was in Alabama, and since the aircraft he flew was fazed out of service, he wasn't flying anymore.  Of course, Dan Rather didn't report it.  Furthermore, who gives a shit, obviously you and your parties continued harping on this topic is doing your candidate no good.  Nobody cares.  Keep it up, please.

BTW, Kerry's first tour of duty was off the coast of California, with a trip to Australia which skirted the Gulf of Tonkin.  That cruise resulted in no combat pay.  And by the way, those who served for him on that ship think he was a fuck too!

Actually, that little "skirted" tour you mention involved floating (the USN is famous for that) in that gulf for 4 months. There have been many of those men that came forward and asked to have their names removed from that list of liars AKA Swift Boat Vets For Truth.

Now if what you say is true about W's commanding officer why has he not provided the documentation and collected the reward that has been offered for many years.
W's wife, Laura will not even come out and confirm his story. She says, "they are probably forged" ??????? That statement leaves more questions than it answers.

Stop taking what Rush and Hannity say as gospel and look at the facts.
