They were held back because the Pentagon was afraid Stump would've had a meltdown with the optics of women further advancing in leadership roles & replaced them with his own picks.  And we've seen during his four years the kind of personnel choices he makes.

They screen out the low-IQ people and don't allow them to join because they are a liability rather than an asset.  If you notice across ALL of the discussion boards, not just this board, the overwhelming majority of veterans posting here are Righties.  The Lefties could not pass the "stupid" test.

Although intelligence testing goes back to the 1800s or earlier, the US Army was a big driver behind mass intelligence testing during WWI.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient#United_States_military_selection_in_World_War_I
"During World War I, the Army needed a way to evaluate and assign recruits to appropriate tasks. This led to the development of several mental tests by Robert Yerkes, who worked with major hereditarians of American psychometrics—including Terman, Goddard—to write the test. The testing generated controversy and much public debate in the United States. ..."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army_General_Classification_Test
"The Army General Classification Test (AGCT) has a long history that runs parallel with research and means for attempting the assessment of intelligence or other abilities. World War I and World War II created the need for this type of testing and provided a large body of test subjects. The early emphasis (World War I) was on determining the level of literacy (Alpha test) amongst a heterogeneous group. Illiterates were given another test (Army Beta); some enrollees were interviewed. ...  "

Some would say that the Armed Forces screen for those who are inclined to defer thinking to others and to follow orders unquestioningly. Free thinkers are not allowed. Question authority and you'll end up in military prison. Many Righties posting to TER sound like cult members.

have no basis in fact.  As a vet, I can tell you for certain that the AGCT was used to determine intelligence as it states in your link . . . . "Many high IQ societies, such as Mensa, can map their entrance requirements to early AGCT scores."  "Free thinking" was not measured by the test, as you claim in your conclusion,  ONLY INTELLIGENCE.   The AGCT evolved to now include a part of the test that measures aptitude for specific MOS's.   Thanks for the link to prove my point.  I was too lazy to look it up.

Since the AGCT was administered before they accept you, we may never know exactly how many Dems failed the test and could not join the military because of low IQ,

I was not referring to the AGCT alone.
.
Where I went to school, there were a handful of really smart kids who recognized flaws in the standardized tests. E.g., discussing the test in class over the next few days, a smart kid would point out that "The correct answer could be A but it could also be D." What? Howzat? "A follows from linear thinking but D is also correct if you take the sum of the cubes of each part."  "... C is correct but B is just the mirror image and is also correct." And so on.
.
SOME of those smart kids got stuck on the ambiguities and sometimes put down the "wrong" right answer and didn't score well. OTHER smart kids recognized the ambiguities but knew that, of the two right answers,  A is the answer they wanted and would be scored as correct.
.
Smart grownups taking the AGCT fall into similar categories. Some see correct alternative answers but don't score well because of that. Others see lots of correct answers but figure that thinking outside the box is not a desirable attribute in the military so they deliberately choose the "wrong" right answer and get rejected.

Laffy posits that CDL’s support for Trump is proof that CDL is not a veteran, even though millions of veterans supported Trump.

Some veterans supported Trump. Some supported Biden. Some active duty supported Trump. Some active duty supported Biden.  Hell, there were even vets and active duty that protested at the Capitol in January 6th. So it’s kind of silly to say CDL wasn’t a veteran because he supported Trump...

It wasn’t too long ago that Laffy was bragging about using the Anti-Asian hate slur, “chink”. After the mass murder in Atlanta, that piece of shit conveniently runs and hide from the forum?

Coincidence? I think not...

A TER suspension.  I doubt that GaG (who's skin is thicker than a rhino) would ever complain about Laffy's slurs, but there could have been others that complained about Laffy's continuous racism and TER decided it was time for Laffy to have another suspension.   He has had many in the past when he goes overboard.  I'm just speculating, but given his history of pushing the limits of free speech here, its still a possibility.
