Could Soon Change, And It’s Only A Net Increase Of +2K

In fact, overall they increased slightly, driven by large increases in states permitting abortions bordering those banning them. An epic fail for righty, women-hating thugs.

That could soon change because of newly enacted restrictions in states that border others with heavy abortion restrictions.
The states with the largest increases were Illinois (21,500), Florida (20,460), North Carolina (11,830), California (8,810) and New Mexico (8,640)
In North Carolina, the number of abortions fell 31% the month after a 12-week ban took effect in July, according to the Guttmacher Institute.
Florida's Supreme Court is weighing a case that could allow the state to implement a six-week ban.

Of COURSE it's "only"  an increase of 2%.  It would be good news if the numbers were only flat.  The fact is this is clearly NOT what abortion foes were hoping.  And the REAL news (which ChicKenShit obviously ignored) is that the number of abortions in states bordering those with a ban spiked by virtually the same amount abortions in the ban states declined. So clearly people who want abortions have remained the same and their rights are simply being exercised somewhere else.
Now cue up ChicKenSnot falsely claiming I can't read and am old. IOW the same tired bullshit as usual.

*pats Old Nicky on the head*

The old man was gleeful that the number of abortions increased, but the good news is in the details.

During the time period analyzed, abortions in North Carolina went up. But since then, NC’s abortion laws have changed to an 12 week limit, and the number of abortions performed dropped 31%.

And one of the other states that saw an increase, Florida, will soon be implementing a six week ban. This should result in a net decline in the number of abortions performed nationwide.

So ChicKie utterly lacks anything new to say. Sad.
Also, his "logic" is lacking. Why? What the statistics I posted show is people still want abortions and will go where they need to go to get them. So if some additional states ban abortion only half the story is by how much abortions dropped in those states. The other half of the story is by how much they went up in nearby states.
Also, Mr. Partisan Hack failed to read the part of my article attributing a good part of the increase in abortions to RU486 which they will never stop mailing across state lines.
Poor ChicKenShit: he can't figure out that the horse has left the barn. But it's hard to figure anything out when you're a partisan hack with no imagination and stale put-downs.

…all the apocalyptic calls of impending doom from the left if Roe got overturned was for nothing? Shocked. Shocked, I say.

makes it OK to overturn a 50-year-old legal precedent?

Even Ruth Bader Ginsberg said that Roe was a terrible decision. This decision should have always remained at the state level. That way those who want to murder their children could do so, and those who didn’t want to condone that could live in a state where it’s illegal. It’s the best solution to make everyone happy.
