Is that "Trump sucks" is the only message they have that does not involve facing up to the four years of failures they had under the Biden/Democrat administration. They are in a catch-22. If they start talking about their policies, pointing out failure after failure for four years is an easy response for Republicans. If they want to go full commie/Marxist, it will be exciting for some of them to have new things to trumpet to the masses, but a sure loser in an election.
The midterms will be tough because opponents of Dems will have the catch-phrase, "Do you want to return to what it was like under Biden?" For Americans, that is a resounding, "NO!!!" The Dem poll numbers continue to slide and it matters little what they do unless Trump really fucks things up a year from now.

Like others have touched on.... this has been their strategy for 8 years.
Think about it.... it is how they won with Biden. They only attacked Trump personally. Not his failures/accomplishments while in office.
Think about it.... When Biden was running. They only attacked or talked about Russia gate, impeachments, Stormy, etc.
They used a little bit about Covid while it was fresh in peoples minds.... but much of it was lies and half truths. They lied about Trumps responses... which much of it was Governors issues not Trumps. Or they took credit for things Trump actually did... or things Governors did.
Then for the 4 years while Trump was in office.... what did the Dem party do?? NOTHING but attack Trump.... it was hearing after hearing. It was new lawsuit after new lawsuit. Fake scandal after fake scandal. Some stuff needed to be looked into.... but they drug things on and on and on. They fought him tooth and nail on every single thing.
So for 8 years it was ORANGE MAN BAD... that was it. That was the message. They didn't have a platform.
Then like others have stated.... the party shifted so far left into the Marxist/socialist side that they can't campaign or talk about any victories. I mean their climate control stuff is even pure bullshit. Nothing has helped industry. The wind/solar push is showing not to do what they promised and is WAY BEHIND SCHEDUAL. The EV push and building of stations and what not. yes EV, solar, wind is needed for the future.... but what they promised not even 10% has been delivered but the budget has been blown.
