Wasn't serious, but I could have avoided some BS, and allways ask for a jury trial, in a real case. Act an ass with in the confines of the law, it's your right as an American.

My dumb ass ran a light in front of the police, because I was watching them watch me. LOL
doing less then the speed limit and watching pedestrians. The light was red so what could I say, I thought paying the fine, I wouldn't get any points, nope.

Obviously it wasn't a real charge, I should have exerscised my right to trial.

Riding my bike last week 2 lane road.  Raining. I'm 300 feet from light up a slight hill and light is turing red.  Driver behind me and I'm not slowing him plus we have to brake for light.  Driver lurches around me into oncoming traffic land for no reason and guess who is headed right for his ass. Screach of breaks.  He  almost had a head-on with a cop.  And as I passed on my bike I heard the cop say as he ripped the asshole out of his car. "What the fuck were you thinking you stupid shit?"  Had to be a $300 fine easy. Plus his insurance hike.

Very satisfying.  Cop was there because tree fell down in the storm around the corner and he had to direct traffic.

Philosophically speaking though, it may be dangerous to allow just 12 people to essentially rewrite the law, at least in a particular instance, instead of the will of the People to really be heard.

Granted, this is the best we can do under the circumstances, but I see the potential for this to be abused.

Regardless, this is a pretty cool concept. I would just prefer that all of us got the right to vote these laws off the books, at the state and federal level.
