An overstatement? Maybe. But this article points out that, in many respects, the English-language feed of Al Jazeera was more "fair and balanced" than CNN.

I didn't like his rants either. I prefer anchors who are more balanced than that and aren't blatantly taking sides. Still, I'd say it's accurate to call it a revolution and not a military coup. Yes, Mubarak's departure was facilitated by the military. But only after they were forced to realize that the protesters weren't going away. Also, labor unrest began to spread across the country, and the generals knew that if Mubarak didn't leave they could be forced to fire on their own people. That could have destroyed the army, as soldiers who refused to fire could have ended up battling with those who did. The generals, I believe, knew this and did the only thing they could, hand Hosni his walking papers.

Google and Facebook and 250 000 out of 17 million just made it quicker .It was a military coup.
Their bias is so ingrained that it almost escapes notice after all these years.
Why is it that most "rational" right wingers will admit that FOX is biased while their left wing counterparts still cling to this flase belief that CNN is objective? CNN hasn't been an objective news source anytime in my memory.
Actually, I've never seen any right-winger admit Fox is biased. And, as I've said on other threads, I do think CNN retains some of the liberal bias of its founder, Ted Turner, though I don't think it reaches the level of FOX (YMMV). Cooper, however, really stepped over the line the last few days, IMO.
