I personally blame Kerry for leaving my beloved nation with a gutter rat like Bush at its mantle.  Now I truly believe that Kerry didn't deserve any of those medals from Vietnam.  If he fought in Vietnam as he fought in this election like a pussy ass little bitch then even today he should take those medals and burn them.
For the first time since Lyndon Johnson, the president lied to start a war and one after the most horrific terrorist attacks on our nation and Kerry's message was "we need a fresh start," and "I will build global alliances!"  What a dumb mother fucker, just like most of his followers in the democratic party.
Iran is on the verge of having nuclear capability, N. Korea goest from possibly one to 8 nukes on W's watch, and W is able to convince this country that he is the stronger leader??? HUH???
And 2 days before the fucking election that towel head is alive and well enough to threaten my country again and actually send a video tape.  Where the fuck is that cocksucker that killed 3000 of my fellow Americans??  Bush said that he is not too concerned about bin laden and he is the one who is considered the stronger leader on terror.
More than anything, this election proved that the most ignorant and stupid public on earth lives right here in these United States.  You idiots will believe anything a politician will tell you without question or accountability which is why most of you are an insult to the very freedoms we enjoy.  The Taliban have an excuse, what the fuck is the excuse of this country???
Gore, Bush, and Kerry in the last 4 years??????????  Most of you dumbasses would actually vote for Saddam if he was a member of the democratic or republican party and he blurted out the party line over and over again.
Truly a sad and pathetic public!!  Unbelievable how the greatest nation on earth, the light of the human race, winds up with Gore, Bush, and a Kerry as choices to lead mankind.

Kerry did not run the best campaign ever, but you need to understand the other side. This link describes my repub family and friends.

had he gotten those in Ohio, Bush would have been out and his supporters those nutcases evangelical Christians guns lover would have gone home with their tails between thier legs. Bush has created these social issues to divide people and to get the public to stop looking at what's happening to them economically.

Since Bush had the popular vote to the tune of 3 million, would you have been as quick to jump to Bush's side and point out that we had another election where "popular vote" lost out to electoral vote?

I think it's the process and values of the Dem party - me, a lifelong Democrat - that's at fault.  My longer response is in response to Sully under: "See told you so" begun by Taws.  I'd be very interested in your response to the ideas in this post.

In the 37 elections since 1860 — the first won by a Republican — Democrats have won only 14. Only twice in 15 post-World War II elections has the Democratic nominee achieved 50 percent of the vote. American politics has known many oscillations; some scholars have discerned an almost metronomic regularity in its political cycles. Now, however, there is an astonishing stasis, immune even to the winds of war.

Since 2000, the issues driving civic discourse have changed radically but the electoral map has changed negligibly. The only 2000 red state that turned blue this year — New Hampshire — made the Northeast, from Pennsylvania and New Jersey to Maine, monochrome. New Mexico, a 2000 blue state that turned red (or seems to have, as this is written Wednesday morning), completes a red swath from California's southeastern border to the Atlantic.

The nation's population center did not cross the Mississippi until the 1980 census. Today it is in Phelps County, Mo., heading southwest, away from the Democratic Party with its apparently metabolic impulse to ignore such realities.
