Last time I posted a movie OP was to recommend the classic film "The Manchurian Candidate" ( 1962 ),because I thought it was brilliant enough to mirror the political sensibilities of everyone who posted here.
I've been posting here for almost a year now & I feel like I tend to "know" the personality makeups of the reg. posters ( or, as much as one can "know" through a discussion board )
With that info. on hand, I've come up with a list of 4 classic movies that I think reflect the personalities & tastes of the "board characters" & are essential viewing, if you haven't seen any of them : " To Kill a Mockingbird" ( 1962 ) "Lawrence of Arabia ( 1962 ), "The Wild Bunch" ( 1969 ) & " Full Metal Jacket" ( 1987 )
I wont give away the plots to these films as to spoil it for those who haven't seen them, but I will make this comment on "To Kill a Mockingbird" ; I think it's the most subtly brilliant patriotic films the U.S. has ever produced, minus any bullshit "flagwaving"
