Ticket splitting is supposedly not that common. So whichever party wins the prez race in that state tends to win the state wide (Senate) races.  House races aren't necessarily state wide (except for small states with only one rep) so they can have different results than state wide.

So we'll have to see who wins prez, that should influence down ballot results.
