From the left : someone says solution to ME peace would be having all Jews & Arabs wiped out.

From the right : Obama can find a job as a "pimp".

In Willy's defense, that WOULD solve the problem though. lol  If the Jews, Arabs and Christians in that part of the world could work out their problems by wiping each other of the map, WITHOUT bringing us down with them. I wouldn't shed a tear.

As for the Obama comment, I don't really remember it, or the context it was used in, but there is so much competition for "stupidest comment" on P&R, I doubt it would rank too high. lol

I don't think I have ever heard anyone ever say that both Jews and Arabs should be wiped out uttered, anywhere, maybe it has been here I don't know. Maybe one or the other, but not both.

I would say one of the most important, if not the most, issue facing this country is US policy in that region. For far too long America's national interest has been subverted when it comes to the Middle East, total neutrality and a hands off approach is what we should have there...period..No rational argument can be made to defend support of Israel when you take account the outstounding number of negatives that the US suffers in comparison to any positives that could be argued.

Anyone in the US who cares more about Israel than the US should be encouraged to move to Israel and aid the Israelis in their fight, the US has no legitamite interest there.

Let the Arabs and the Israelis do what they will to each other, maybe they can live in peace, maybe they go to war, it shouldn't matter to the US or the West for that matter.

Obama would never trade his job as a puppet to be a pimp, the pay is too good being a puppet.

I don't really want all Jews, Christians and Muslims wiped off the face of the earth, but when the alternative is ALL of us perishing in this stupid war about "my God is better than your God" it doesn't seem quite so loathesome.

       We have no legitimate interest in fighting a civil war in Afghanistan or Iraq but, of course, we have a legitimate interest in Israel. Turn Israel into an Islamic republic and the entire region will eventually go the same way.


      That is just the wrong criticism. The correct criticism is that our interest does not justify the billions of dollars we give Israel each year to buy weapons, or the double standard we employ as to the Israel nuclear arsenal. Make Israel sign the non-proliferation treaty and maybe we will seem a little less hypocritical in our demand for Iran to give up on nukes.

I will disagree that we had/have a huge interest in Iraq, and yes it is all about the oil. If our current idiot in charge can be duped by the French to spend several billion protecting THEIR oil, the least we can do it protect our own interests, and leaving a power vacuum in Iraq is certainly not in our interests. A fact not lost on GHWB, and even GWB, but apparently lost on Obama.

Of course approving the Keystone pipeline would have been a major step in ensuring oil supplies from THIS hemisphere, but that also seemed to escape our current IIC (idiot in charge)

I would emphatically agree with what you termed correct criticism. No one can tell the Arab countries to not explore development of nukes unless and untill Israel surrenders theirs. If they did that then there could be no toleration for the Arab nations developing them.

The money we give to Israel, and all other foreign nations for that matter, is completely unexcuseable considering the status of this country. Just like immigration, what is happening here has to be considered first and foremost and seemingly ignoring conditions here and continuing as always,before the economic crash/decline can not be excused as anything less than treason. With all of our debt, we should not be sending any money anywhere in the form of foreign aid, just like we shouldn't be admitting any immigrants from anywhere with 9% admitted unemployment and 12-15% or higher actual unemployment.

I would question whether the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 would be the act of any legitamite ally. Neither was the actions of Jonathan Pollard or the other numerous proven acts of espionage by Israel against the US. Just because the American public are not made to think about these matters so not to ever question the empty statement that Israel is a unquestionable ally and friend doesn't mean that these are not documented incidents that tell a pretty sordid tale of treachury. Not sure how those incidents can be explained away.

I have no belief that the wars in Afghanistan or Iraq are in anyway worthwhile. A total waste of time, effort and lives for the US. But they have accomplished more than people have been led to believe for the people behind them. Pro-Israeli interests in the Bush administration had everything to do with the Iraq war. A unified Iraq under Hussien was seen as a threat that had to be dealt with, not for the safety of the US but of Israel. Things have actually not worked as planned as Iraq is now pretty much chaotic and a leadership vacumm exists where someone more threatening that Hussien could come to power. But splintering that country into feuding factions, factions that the hardline sumbitch Saddam kept in line through brutality, was what was intended the whole time, a country fighting amongst themselves is not a threat to anyone, namely Israel.

I didn't say we should wipe out the Jews and Muslims in the middle east. I said we should just nuke the place until all the fighting stops, or until that shit hole is turned into a giant glass parking lot for American tourists. Don't you see the distinction? :D

As I've also said, I think we should wipe out the Christians too, but I see down sides to nuking Kansas.

Since this has ruffled your feathers so much Pria, I'm not being serious...well, mostly not serious.

But I have a bigger problem with you espousing this false equivolency shit. C'mon. The right wing and the left wing are different. For the most part, you won't find starbucks sipping liberals who can shoot a 0.5 MOA at 100 yards, and you won't find a conservative jesus freak who reads books.

and you can watch you're wife run away from home for a week it's so damn flat. But, I for one am glad we have it. They raise enough bread to feed the nation and export. It just happens to be one of the must productive states in the Union.

As for all the Muslems and Jew killing, they have been doing that for at least 2,500 years. How about we just let them go at it and the best man wins. How's that for a pease plan.
