In my experience in working with the homeless, I discovered 3 general mindsets.

1) Hopeful. It's a sobering experience to hit rock bottom, and for some, albeit a tiny minority, some become hopeful and energetic and are eager to do anything they can to fix their circumstances. Recently, I haven't seen much of this with waiting lists for the local shelters growing.

2) Hopeless. The biggest majority of those I come across have some mental or drug problem, and feel powerless to change their situation.

and

3) Angry. It's not often that I see angry people among the homeless. Usually it's in fighting. But lately I noticed something different. Anger. Of the Righteous sort. People who were living a lower middle class life and now don't have anything. Stories of people who have had to move in with relatives until their relatives were evicted too.

Do you really think this can't happen here? Do you really want to find out?

Using either the word comedic or genius when referring to Bill Maher is a mistake.

Bill Maher has become decidedly not funny, and his vitriol represents his target audience quite accurately. Bill Maher fans tend to be just like Willy, ill informed, narrow minded, judgemental, and hate anything the least bit conservative, either fiscal or social conservatism. I bet you AF is a Bill Maher fan as well.

He said there was a difference between rich and wealthy. Michael Jordan is rich. The guy who signs his paycheck is wealthy.

Of course, given the guy lost most of his savings when Lehman went under, I gotta think he's a little bitter. Sucky thing for you guys is that he has a popular TV show where he's advocating beating wealthy people with sticks.

...because beyond the sticks, we've got something you don't have: An angry mob.

She's always a treat. She pretty much endorsed Bachmann to be the GOP candidate against Obama in 2012.

The law does not trump the Will of the People, and the People are pissed. Actions have their consequences, and there's nothing anyone can do about that.

Maher is always trying to be as funny as Tavis Smiley, but never quite reaches that level of comedic genius.
