Even if you don't like Pelosi's policies, even a partisan hack has to admit she was one of the most (if not THE most) capable and effective Speakers in House history. During her last term she had nearly as small a majority as McCarthy did, yet she got a tremendous amount done. Also, Pelosi was Speaker for the better part of a decade. McCarthy was speaker for barely ten months.

Democrats are the only reason why the news media is still in business. Republicans and independents alike have record low trust in the news media.

A big reason why is because Americans are getting more of their news from podcasts. The entire industry is seeing nearly a 30% growth rate per year. And Americans are tuning in.

1) I don't doubt Americans have low trust in the media. But older conservative MAGA-dolts have migrated to ONN and Newsmax. They are pure MAGA-propaganda mills but they are "the media." And, because they are telling the MAGA crowd what they want to hear, the MAGA-dolts trust them.
2) I don't doubt podcasts are growing in popularity, but if you think the MAGA crowd -- which is largely older, non-urban, overwhelmingly white Americans -- are big podcast consumers you're loonier than I thought.

If you want to interpret my use of "the media" out of context as "all media" you're obviously WRONG.
