Biden's runaway inflation, then the dollars in the market have lost over 7%, just like dollars everywhere else, so the current DJIA of 36,236.47 that you cite equals a DJIA of 33,518.73 in terms of January 2021 DOLLARS.  Just keeping up with inflation, it would have to be 38,954,21 to equal January of 2021.  That's JUST to stay even!   That's why Willy correctly points out that the market is "uncertain" about the future, and why it's disingenuous of you to not include this point yourself.  You should know how inflation works by now.  You lived through the Carter years just like some of the rest of us.

If you ride it out, in the long term your gains will always out pace any inflation. In this case the stocks are stable which is really good and once inflation subsides, the stock will jump and now. Just need outlastes this little surge of inflation were in now. The trick is to ride it out...sit tight.
