The sad thing is that you have it backwards, and "left wing nutcases" usually have a clue about a lot more going on in the world than their own immidiate concerns (unlike the right wing "power elite").  That is why they are typically referred to as "bleeding hearts", "tree huggers", "feminazis", etc., etc.

Um, I think that you are just proving my statement.  They don't have an idea about the world OUTSIDE of their own particular agenda & that's why they are sometimes refered to as you so described.
