New paper in from South Korea is looking at the link between Covid vaccines and acute transverse myelitis, or ATM for short.  It appears that for some patients, they can get ATM shortly after getting the Covid vaccine. This is an inflammation of the spinal cord that transverses the entire spinal cord at a particular location, causes paralysis below that point.  

 
While the causes of ATM is unknown, it occurred to me that the sodium ion dysfunction research I mentioned last week might offer a clue as to why ATM happens.  

 
One of the youtube channels I was a fan of, Physics Girl, has been out of action for a while now. Her health went to shit after Covid and she spent the last two years paralyzed. While 71% of those with ATM got it with the first shot, the risks increase with additional boosters.
