What was he doing in the middle of a full scale riot? He didn't even live there. Not even in the same state. He said he went there to defend a specific store. But I guess that got too boring so he went out for a stroll with his AR. If you don't think he was looking for trouble you're a naive buffoon. He put himself in jeopardy then shot his way out. He's responsible.
You are just annoyed he aired out some looser lefties that you identify with. Looser lefties who were the ones out looking for trouble that night.  Not a one of them was there "peacefully protesting" on behalf of... oh wait the black guy with the knife the cops (you know that group known as law enforcement, you supposedly also Identify with) told him to drop LOL !!!  

All these asshats came after Rittenhouse after he single-handedly extinguished a dumpster fire these assholes were pushing into a gas station in an attempt to burn down said gas station. Joseph Rosenbaum screamed at Rittenhouse "WHY DID YOU DO THAT???" just after Rittenhouse put out the flames. It was at that point That Rosenbaum went after Rittenhouse. So what should Rittenhouse have done let them burn down the gas station? Let Rosenbaum attack him?

Oh, wait I know why you hate Rittenhouse soooo much. He showed courage in the face of adversity. You know that thing which you didn't do when you avoided the draft to get out of going to Vietnam.  At the Battle of Sterling, you were one of the Scotts who didn't listen to William Wallace and ran away.

This week a court sentenced Joshua and Kelly Ziminski to 20 months in prison for burglary and robbery with threat of force charges that they pleaded guilty to in May. Other charges were dropped in exchange for a plea deal, according to Fox 6.  

In the heat of the 2020 riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Joshua Ziminski fired a "warning shot" just before Kyle Rittenhouse shot three men in self-defense. Ziminski was out of bail for his involvement in the riots when he and his wife went on the crime spree that earned them 7 felony charges

 Joshua denied having a weapon on him. Kelly was on probation and Joshua was out on bond pending trial for charges of Arson (Felony), Disorderly Conduct / Use of a Dangerous Weapon (Misdemeanor), and Obstructing an officer during the 2020 riots.

Just scanning the article, it sounds like the normal course of justice:
Investigate, Indict if justified, Prosecute (to a guilty verdict, not guilty verdict, or plea agreement), Plea Agreement, Sentence, Incarcerate.

captured on video, it's pretty hard to argue it wasn't self-defense even though the hack prosecutor tried.  I hear he has a desk job now as a paralegal.  Lol
