Finally saw Fahrenheit 911

I hate idiots who bash Michael Moore and criticize his bias. He is a mere film maker who had a point to make and backed it up with facts.  Of course, there were plenty of editing done to make Bush look dumber than he really seems (is that really possible?).  But I have yet to hear anyone dispute the facts that were presented in the documentary.  If the same idiots have such disdain for Michael Moore, why won't they make a documentary depicting the better side of little Bush or the bad side of Kerry? Hmm...I wonder why.

I think the right is just envious that they don't have anyone with the talent to match Michael Moore. As has been mentioned before, Fahrenheit 9/11 does tend to make George W. & Co. look like the "Mayberry Machiavellians" that they are.

Hmm! Since Moore has been criticized for the money that he will be earning from Fahrenheit 9/11, maybe the right should try putting him on the payroll. Yeah, that should work!

"In pure filmic terms, "Fahrenheit 9/11" is a second-rate documentary, but it is first-rate entertainment and top-notch muckraking".

A lot of people will see it.  It will have an effect on the election, not so much by convincing undecided voters to vote against Bush, but by "energizing the troops" to get out and work to defeat Bush in the election - the film does indeed preach to the choir, but what a good job it does of that.

I think Michael Moore did a good job this time of curving his  sarcasm and wit to keep this movie mostly serious.  To have gone any further to try to make it "first rate," would have made it funnier and overshadowed the seriousness of the film. He wanted action taken, not dinnertime laughes, which is mostly what "Roger and Me" generated.

LMAO, before you say anything, please read some books, study and investigate the matter carefully and educate yourself on the subject!

Point out 1 thing that is not a fact in the movie. He may have stretched some things a bit but it is factual.

I really enjoyed it.  Moore is a great film maker and I look forward to his future projects.  Now, I am going to rent Roger and Me because I hear that was a great movie also.

But I think he didn't go far enough. He forgot to mention the 8/01 CIA meeting in Dubai with OBL. I was sort of curious how the heartland would have reacted to that had Moore told them. But then again, I s'pose he didn't want to end up in a plane crash, like Carnahan and Wellstone. You know how those neocons get when they're testy.

Moore's film does NOT say that BUSH flew the Bin Ladens out early.  He says that the Bush ADMINSITRATION did, after getting a request from Prince Bandar.  Bandar has admitted this in a Larry King interview, the clip of which is shown in the film.

And Richard Clarke, a member of the Bush Administration at the time, arranged the flights.

What Moore's film states on this issue is in fact the truth.

Your contention that Richard Clarke was somehow NOT acting FOR the Bush Adminsistration is in fact a lie.

But he did say that it was a MAJOR reason.  And, in fact, the government of Afghanistan HAS signed a deal with Turkistan and Pakistan to begin such a pipeline.  Actual construction has not yet started, but the planning and design work is underway.

in horseshit weather with a bad pilot to Northern Minnesota to do a campaign stump for an old union friend. You are an idiot if you think there was any foul play involved.  You should be ashamed.

Where in the fuck were you when sdstud called me a Nazi?

BTW, I didn't call him a moron, I said it was a moronic post, which it was!  Take your BS political correctness and post it where someone might just give a shit about what you think!

And, as I said then, I stand by the statement.  You have a tendency toward lumping groups of people together with your bigotry and hatred.  Including making the claim that all Liberasl are sufferring from mental illness.  That is exactly the type of thing that the Nazis did.  It just happens that the specific target groups for your hatred are Moslem Arabs, gays, and Liberals, but your characterizations of those groups is Nazi-esque in it's bigotry.

Learning is one thing, accepting a moronic and baseless innuendoes and giving them substance is altogether different, and yes IMO moronic.  (if that is calling names, I'm guilty).  Unless that is, you tend to be suspicious in all things.  For example, my earlier question, Did you question all the deaths (and there was quite a few of them) surrounding Bill Clinton's presidency?  And if so, what was your final opinion on that?

Or do you lean towards blaming those on the "neo-cons" too?

Another example, a few people believe that the moon landing in 1969 was faked, does this bother you as well?

etc., etc.

Here is the latest body count that we have. All of these people have been connected with the Clintons in some form or another. We have not included any deaths that could not be verified or connected to the Clinton scandals. All deaths are listed chronologically by date. This list is current and accurate to the best of our knowledge as of January 13, 1999 August 1, 2000.

It would seem Nicole, that it is much more dangerous to be a friend of Bill Clinton than to be a socialist in the Senate!

For what its worth, I have no opinion on "McCarthysim"!  What I do have an opinion on is the bullshit that surrounds the career of Senator McCarthy which was stellar.  Again, what you have heard and read for the most part did not happen, Senate records back up my claim, check them out, especially since you claim to want to know the truth.  You might start with Lillian Hellman's tripe before congress (try to remember that Joe McCarthy was never a congressman and served only in the Senate)!
