What will be interesting to see is if Bush gets a bump out of the Convention!  Especially since Kerry got zero bump from his.

For what its worth, I consider the convention nothing more than infomercials.  However, they usually motivate some people, which must make Hanoi's convention performance even more vexing to you.

Terrorism is the issue, try as you must, the economy is not going the wrong way!   (It cracks me up how many "unemployed" guys we have here, whining about lost jobs, but have the cash for the ladies! lol)

I think a better example will be looking back at Reagan's 1984 Victory.  Kerry is sooooooo much more liberal than Mondale was, and again, try as you must, the American people won't elect a leftist lunatic like Hanoi John no matter how many times he (or you) attempts to reinvent himself.

The Swifties are killing him.  Outspent 250 to 1 by MoveOn.org and yet they are drawing blood by the pints.  But have no fear, the money will equal out, plenty of other Veteran Associations waiting until the last 30 days to enlighten the American people about Hanoi John's "valor"!

    From my perspective, it will be interesting to see what the economy does over the next month.  If it does not show life, then we are in for a rough ride.

The battleground states have been hit particularly hard by job losses.  

In election after election, pundits have said that other factors would be more important than the economy, only to be proven wrong.  

Americans vote their pocketbooks.

I made no claim of a bump, I did however once again note that Hanoi John was not the recipient of one!

It will be very difficult to identify a "Convention Bump" from the ongoing "Meltdown" of the Hanoi John campaign do to John Edwards request that Americans talk to the people who served with Hanoi in Vietnam.  

Either way, I do believe that my original estimate of a 5 to 6 point victory for Bush may well be too low.

And I am sure we will have to listen to the lunatic fringe whine for four more years!  Don't worry, we're used to it!

Ultimately though, you know you have already lost, its eating up your gut, may I suggest Gaviscon!  It helped me through the Clinton years.  The lunatic lefts agenda will never fly in a national race, even Clinton knew that, but you guys serve up not only the most loony of the left, but an anti-America Vietnam era traitor who looks and acts like Lurch to boot!

I take it you were talking about some kind of upsurge in Bush's polls?  Or what's the meltdown?  Or are Bush's numbers even supposed to benefit from what you consider a "meltdown?"  Whatever this "victory blip" is, only you seem to see it.

Either way, I'm tired of having this discussion with you.  Your cheerleader approach to citizenship is a complete waste of time, with one fantasy after another about how much your man would win by, and that you're in the majority.  Being in the majority may be nice, but it's hardly a rational argument.  The longer I talk to you and gawk at you, the less time I have to work for Kerry.  It's past time for me to get serious about this.
