No gaslighting or spin-doctoring can alter the fact that the Dems took a pretty decisive beating last night!

People are basically sick and tired of crackpots (like those kooks on "The View) shrieking about Trump being "Hitler" a "fascist" and on and on. They're tired of an overtly biased legacy media. They're tired of Marxist ideology. They're tired of rampant inflation. They're tired of unvetted migrants pouring over the border and getting government freebies while committing serious crimes. They're tired of an unstable world.

And they SURE as hell didn't want someone as woefully unsuited as Harris becoming POTUS! (Not to mention the fact that if she were elected Walz would be VP--which IMHO was a VERY bad choice that ultimately further sunk her campaign.)

It will be interesting to see what the Dems do going forward. Harris was simply WAYYYY too left wing--that scared off a lot of voters. IMHO they HAVE to become more moderate and centrist going forward--last night's results were a clear rebuke of a far left agenda!!

Some of what you say is true (people are tired of seeing the border as a train wreck) but no, Kamala was not a "Marxist." That is silly.
.
But today isn't a day to push back, it's a day of reflection and looking into the proverbial mirror. It was clear to me it came down to 3 or 4 things. The aforementioned border, inflation, a general feeling that the world is on fire in Ukraine, Gaza, etc.
.
In hindsight, Kamala needed to distance herself from Joe from the git go as this was going to be a change election. 70% of the peeps said we are on the wrong track. Think about this...when asked what she would have done differently than Joe, she said she couldn't think of anything. This coming from a woman whose slogan was "Kamala Harris: A New Way Forward." The juxtaposition of those two facts boggles the mind.
.
We had massive trouble with Hispanics, suburban white women, and people under 30 from what I am reading. Kamala won the first and last group but the margins shrank significantly with them from 2020.
.
I was watching the post mortem on MSNBC and was angered at what I was hearing. With tooth picks keeping my eye lids open at about 2 am, I saw the panel trying to explain that the American voter is just wrong; i.e. that the economy is really good...and that voters are just too dumb to realize it. smh
.
Talking about 23 Nobel prize winners and how the numbers show a great economy, is so out of touch I don't even know where to begin. I dont believe Biden/Harris was solely responsible for inflation as I think it was an offspring of Covid, but the party in power takes too much of the glory when things are going well and too much blame when things are going poorly. That's not me complaining, I am past that point. The issue is, the American people, regardless of whose fault they thought it was, thought Biden/Harris Inc didn't do enough to solve it. Calling them uneducated or stupid on that topic isnt helping matters too much.
.
I generally think the idea that Left wing "elites" looking down their noses at the regular people is overblown, yet there it was, right in from of me, on my TV, at 2 am. Last night, too many pundits really felt superior to the "stupid" voters who "vote against their own best interests." Ugh. Thinking like that needs to change.
.
To a lesser extend, but still hurtful on the margins, is that the Democratic establishment is so slow to push back against anything stupid from our Left fringe until it is far too late. "Defund the police", "Believe All Women" are just two of the dumbest slogans I have ever heard. Kamala touting tax funded sex change operations for people incarcerated is sheer lunacy.
.
My biggest concern is that my party has abandoned the working class. Eliminating college debt had some merit, but NOT the way we did it. Helping truly poor or middle class out with lower than market interest rates is one thing but paying for rich kids college, when the working class has to pay for it out of their tax money, is insane. We have driven the blue collar, non college educated voter and basically told them "You don't have a home in the Democratic Party anymore!" Those people used to be the backbone of the my party and we forced then into the arms of Trump.
.
I'll have more to say but that is the gist off the top of my head. We lost to a 2 time impeached, convicted felon who has/had many other indictments and found liable of sexually assaulting a woman in a court of law. The time to blame Trump has come and gone. Its look in the mirror time for the Democratic Party. And right now at least, I dont like what I see even a little bit.

of Democrat corrupt "lawfare".  I have no doubts that Trump will clean house in the justice department and bring in new management at all levels.  Weaponizing the justice department is un-American and the two levels of justice model of the Dems is offensive to the American spirit of justice for all.

This crushing win is a favor to the Democrats, who will have an opportunity to regroup in a different direction, abandon progressivism, and move the party back toward the center.  Trump could not have won this big without a broad coalition of voters which included some moderate Dems.

It’s hard to find much I disagree with here. And it’s way I left the Democrat party. They exchanged standing up for working class people for being woketards. They look down to people they used to represent. And it cost them this election. The Democrat party needs to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Personally the lawfare was terrifying.  So too was the push by the state to have control over "misinformation" i.e. censorship.  Flooding the borders was an out in the open replacement plan.  And the assault on institutions such as the advocacy for packing the Supreme Court.  And finally, the seeming glee in pushing the Ukraine/Russia conflict -- it has been deeply saddening to watch young men (and civilians) on both sides die horrible deaths.  I hope Trump can quickly get a ceasefire in place.

She is a Marxist in liberals clothing. Hell, she was raised by one.

Xi Van Fleet lived through china’s cultural revolution. Kamel Toes rhetoric “be unburdened by what has been” is straight out of the Marxist play book.

If she had somehow been elected we would be staring at the beginnings of an undoing of America as we know it.

Going forward don’t ask yourself “why did we lose?” thank whatever higher power you ascribe to that they did.

Absolutely agree 100%--Harris's record clearly demonstrates how far left she is (and has always been!!)

Respectful R--I give you a lot of credit for your very honest summary--shows legitimate introspection on what went wrong for the Dems and what needs to be fixed to regain any sort of relevancy going forward. Kudos!!

The democrat party needs to take a good hard look in the mirror, however I think they will do their usual finger pointing and blaming others for their failures, and I guess one could say that turmoil in the democrat  party is good for the republicans.

lose without the support of the US, I predict that Trump will tell Zelensky that he needs to make a peace deal with Russia with Trump as mediator.   Trump will negotiate a compromise between Putin and Zelensky and the war will be over.  Zelensky will get to save most of his country and Putin will save face by having a little something to show for his efforts.  There will be no more aggression from Russia until another pair of Democrat milquetoasts are elected to the White house.

But this statement is it.....
"My biggest concern is that my party has abandoned the working class."
Absolutely! Middle class working America has paid the price unlike anything we've ever seen in US history, all thanks to 4 years of Joe and Kamala.
And for what? There was just no reason to do that. And ....maybe you are seeing the light a little bit and if so, I commend you for it.

Over 72 million people said....... this stops today. And for that, I'm proud to be an American. No one in this great United States should be ashamed to say, let's make America Great Again. That's something we can all benefit from.

The problem is the Democrats embrace of identity politics. They thought they could counter the economic populism of the left and the culture war populism of the right with identity politics. "If you're a woman vote for us because of abortion. If you're gay vote for us because gay marriage. We're going to fight for trans rights. If you're a racial minority vote for us because Trump is racist." However, if you are white or a guy the message is "you are the cause of everyone's problems." It drowned out almost anything they could say about the economy or any of their actual accomplishments. The party has overpromised and underdelivered since Obama. It is also pretty clear the party pushed a guy with declining mental faculties for four ago and then forced a deeply unpopular VP on us while insisting everything was fine. That has created a huge deficit of trust and turned off so many voters.
.
Also, lets be real. Biden's attempts at economic policy were viewed as failures. This is a huge defeat. With the deficit the way it is there is no way we can expect any sort of new spending to fund new programs/policy in the near future, nor would the voters trust Democrats to enact it. Many programs enacted in the past 20 years may be gone and programs that have existed since WW2 are likely to undergo significant changes. The Democrats have an inability to enact their vision and agenda to the point it is no longer compatible with reality.

Russia has no incentive to cede any captured territory.  Russia has a strip of eastern Ukraine from Luhansk to Crimea which they are unlikely to want to give up -- since it gives them a land route to the Crimea.  So at a minimum it would be a ceasefire in place.

Putin will save face by being able to keep some of the captured territory while Zelensky will save the REST of his country by allowing Putin to keep it.  Zelensky will have no choice, because Trump will tell him to take the deal or he is on his own with no more funding from the US.  That's how the negotiation will go.

It depends on Zelensky changing his position on ceding land, which so far he has refused to do. It depends on how much pressure he can put on Putin between now and Jan. 20, 2025. The other factors are: 1) what does Trump decide to actually do? My guess is he'll stop the funding because he wants to do tax cuts and other moves that are very costly and stopping Ukraine funding will help pay for them, or 2) the Europeans step up and massively increase their funding of Ukraine. This would be in their own best interests since a collapse of Ukraine will make it more likely Putin will then go after the Baltic states, Poland or the rest of Ukraine. But I doubt the EU/NATO are capable of increasing their funding by such a huge amount.
Here's what Reuters says:
"Nov 6 (Reuters) - The White House plans to rush billions of dollars in security assistance to Ukraine before President Joe Biden leaves office in January, sources said on Wednesday, hoping to shore up the government in Kyiv before President-elect Donald Trump's Jan. 20 inauguration.
"The administration plans to push forward ... to put Ukraine in the strongest position possible" a senior administration official said on condition of anonymity, before its term ends in January...
Of the weapons transfer authority passed in April, $4.3 billion remains, in addition to $2.8 billion worth of transfers lawmakers approved in previous spending measures and $2 billion in funding for the purchase of new weapons from industry...
In total, that $9 billion in military assistance would be a significant boost to Ukraine’s stores."

administration is willing to throw billions in taxpayer money into a black hole as they walk out the door.   As a businessman, Trump knows how to get value for the money and spends taxpayer dollars like they are coming out of his own pocket.  THAT'S leadership and putting America first.

He had half a dozen bankruptcies and he was willing to throw billions in tax cuts to his rich pals and will do it again. Also, using American aid the Ukrainians have made mincemeat of the Russian army so now we and NATO don't have to worry about doing it ourselves.

To save America we're going to have to start deporting your K-Girls. For too long you have outsourced American labor to foreigners and illegal immigrants who are stealing jobs from Americans. That comes to an end thanks to Trump!

Trump is going to focus on illegal immigration, and has even said he supports immigrants coming in legally. Most KGirls are here legally on tourist visas, so they won’t be impacted.

But what about the ones who overstayed their visas? Well Democrats who are sympathetic to the plight of the ones here illegally are encouraged to enter into Green Card marriages.

were not equally available to all Americans who pay taxes?  Kamala kept saying that, too, but I never heard any Democrat tell us WHAT tax cuts the rich were going to get that were not across the board.  Trump's website said all Americans were going to get a tax cut.  Kamala's website was evasive about what she was going to do.  If you know, tell us.  If not, this is still an empty talking point and one of the reasons Kamala tanked.

If each of US Republicans marries one and then adopts two more, no Kgirl should go wanting for a little protection against deportation.  For those that can afford to support three Kgirls in their home, you will never be free at night to laugh at CNN and MSNBC again, but will wake up every morning with a huge smile and a sore dick.

There are two things you are naive about. I highly doubt most K-Girls are here legally. Also, Trump has promised to restrict legal immigration, not just illegal immigration.

Kgirls when Trump was elected in 2016, but some Kgirls panicked and went back to Korea due to the Trump campaign rhetoric.  A few more left when FOSTA?SESTA was passed in April 2018, not because they would be deported, but because the primary ad platform for Kgirls, CityVibe, along with TER, the primary review platform, closed down in the US for fear of being targeted, so business was slow and chaotic for the next 20 months until TER emerged from the darkness in December 2019.  Other Kgirls just went under the radar, did business as usual and as it turned out, they were never hunted down or bothered by ICE.  As far as the SoCal scene, they were never targeted during the Trump years.

South Korea is in the US visa waiver program.  South Koreans can visit the US for up to 90 days on a whim.  They do not have to get visas to come here as tourists.  Our course working is not authorized for tourists, so that part is under the radar.
