I was questioning McCain's motivation to be Shrub's mouthpiece on this issue. The FL Supremes ruling was what it was, but my point was that McCain is not the McCain we knew in 2000, when Shrub was smearing him instead of Kerry.
How is Senator McCain acting as "Shrub's mouthpiece"? He issued a statement from the Reform Institute, of which he is the Chairman. If you bother to look into their website, you'll find that his stance on the Nader ballot issue is consistent with past positions regarding open ballots.
McCain hasn't changed at all. He still openly states his disagreements with the Bush Administration. But now that he's supporting the man that the left has been hating since 2000, he is no longer a "straight shooter". Now he's just another mouthpiece for Shrub, bowing down to the one he serves. Right.
