Enlightened Marxist Harry Belafonte was on with pal Al Sharpton this week. His advice for Obama was to imprison opposition like a “third world dictator.”

I can only imagine how MLK would be spinning in his grave to hear what is being said by people who claim to be "all about "THE DREAM".
Actually, I don't have to just IMAGINE:

With only 59% of all eligible voters voting, and Obama garnering 51% of that number, Belafonte thinks the 30% have been given domain the other 70%.
Chilling.
You believed ol' Harry spoke for Obama or any serious person. Hell, I didn't even know the guy was still alive and am not sure this wasn't his corpse, re-animated.
we know that Sharpton and Maddow consult with him:

So we have a melding of the Executive branch and media.
I know, I know, FAUX NEWS, right?
Whew! What does Glenn Beck's two year old babblings have to do with anything? And what are you saying about Obama here? That he consults with Sharpton and Maddow? I don't think that's remotely correct. The video has no connection to that thought anyway. Needle, I think the poisonous air in this place has rotted your grey matter, lol!
Now, because I'm a nice guy, here's a poster with a puppy in it to make you feel better! I love you, man! (and, no, not in THAT way!)
Well, crap, my cute puppy pic wouldn't upload, so here's something else. I used to post it for Willy, but you guys are so alike I know you won't mind! LOL!

Beck had ZERO to do with it.
I asked the question "what would MLK think" about the current crop of racebaiting pretenders like Sharpton and I think King's relative answered that. That interview is one of the rare forums in which a demogouge like Big Al CANT be the POS poser he usually is.
And if you have the grey matter to click on the link I provided you would see that indeed Obama IS consulting with Proglatards from MSLSD, including the aforementioned scumbag Sharpton....
Belafonte....Sharpton....Obama. Not hard to connect the dots. Especially now that we know more of the truth about Obama's upbringing. Not that THAT matters to his loyal subjects.
I'll give you a mulligan for your previous reply..LOL!
You post a link to some drivel by Beck and then tell me I was supposed to click on some other link? Give me a break, bug. How much research do you expect me to do on your links? If you wanted me to listen to somene else on that page, why not just post the right link? I am not and have never been a fan of Sharpton's. He certainly was a race-baiter but I don't believe he is any more. As to your assertion any of these people are consulted by Obama, how about not playing games and telling me I'm too dumb to find the right link? Just put up the damn link you're talking about and I'll read it. But don't expect me to go on a hunting expedition. It's boring.
As to the mulligan, thanks, but I don't need it.

When you have the Executive branch consulting with the media on "how to get the message out" in a secret way (White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest confirmed the meeting took place. It wasn't listed on Obama's schedule.) it does create a chill for someone who thinks we are headed in the wrong direction.
This is quite a bit different from how you originally billed it, as if Obama had sought the advice of Sharpton and Maddow on some broad range of issues that were also connected with what Bellafonte said. What actually happened was a group of progressive media people were brought in as part of Obama's effort to sell them (and through them, the country) on his approach to the fiscal cliff negotiations. It is typical of what all administrations do to influence the country and the Congress. Bush did it, too, and I bet you weren't complaining then. It is hardly some secret, nefarious plan to hoodwink the masses. As for whether we are "headed in the wrong direction," we just had an election about that. He won. You can hardly blame him for trying to enact the agenda he ran on, though I don't expect you to like it. Polls show about 60 percent of the country wants taxes raised on high earners and that's what this is about.
on his vision. Even you don't believe that!
These are his mouthpieces in the media...kind of a mini Pravda!
I'm just sayin the Obama..Sharpton..Belafonte nexus is not as strained as you seem to think.

Obviously they already were on his side. It's most likely he was giving them the talking points he'd like to see followed, so they're consistent with how he's pitching it publicly. And of course the Republicans do it, too. They have every day's talking points prepared in advance and everyone comes out parroting them down to using the exact same words. You'd think they'd be embarassed.
True dat.
Thing is, with the exception of Fox, Obama owns the rest of the media. how else can you explain obama's shitty record and re-election? mitt being mitt did'nt help...

they don't control the media?

romney was'nt even in the WH.

What happend I thought the GOP was the party of balls, and John Mother-Fucking Wayne? Now the GOP sounds like the party of Geriatric Old Pussies and I'm a Conservative.
I forgot what my point was. Oh yeah like I said after the GOP nominated Romney. They had no intrest in winning the election, if they did the GOP would have nominated some one else. Their focus has been on 2016, and getting the most bang for their buck. from the current administration.
It's just factually wrong to say Obama or the Dems "own" the rest of the media. First of all, Fox is by far the most watched network and most people are watching local news anyway. Radio, which is hugely influential, is dominated by right wing shows. Print doesn't count any more. The way so many Republicans were stunned by the outcome of the election simply proves they were heavily influenced by right wing media and chose to believe what they were being told. And, yes, Mitt was certainly one of the worst candidates in memory. A tone deaf, entitled, condescending fool. Even the people who voted for him knew he was a fraud who changed his story whenever it suited him.

I don't recall anyone on Fox News, or anyother program for that matter advocating anything close to what Belafonte is...joking or otherwise..and all the bobbleheads at MSLSD eat it up.
Really? Well, then I'd say we're equally guilty of hijacking your thread! But isn't that how threads work? And, no, I'm not going to start researching all the stupid and inflamatory things said Fox's bobbleheads and guests like Anne Coulter that might compare with Belafonte's idiotic commnet. But I am quite sure they're there. And then there's The Ramblings of Rush.
You made no effort to restrict your analysis to cable networks and indeed the context encompasses all media. The audience size of the network news outlets vastly exceeds that of Fox. NBC evening news floats around 8 million, ABC 7ish and CBS in the 6's (about 22 million total). CBS alone has more than twice the audience of even Fox's top show, O'Reilly. And O'Reilly is more than double their own news shows at the dinner hour.
Republicans I know and myself included weren't duped by the polls on Fox. I knew in my heart the 2012 was the Republicans to lose and they picked just the man to pull that off. I knew there was no way Obama could spark anywhere near their same enthusiasm as 2008 yet their ground game turned out to be the best ever for a second term. And Romney got an even lower turnout than McCain (of course). I think almost anyone else could have won.
I thought if he had gotten the nomination, he had a very good chance of winning.
This what "Needle, Dick the Booger Flicker" really wanted the board to see...

So immature, I must say.
