The SAME rightwingers were saying then that Clinton was "obessed" with Bin Laden and it was "wag the dog" when he tried to get Osama with a missle attack. Bill Clinton spend A LOT of time chasing Bin Laden.
Then Bush got in there and did NOTHING -- held ZERO meetings about terrorism even though Clinton left him a comprehensive plan and significant warnings! Bush received 52 memos telling him of potential terrorist attacks that involved Bin Ladin, Planes, Buildings, Spectacular Explosions and he did not hold a SINGLE meeting about it! Then he received the August 6th PDB warning that Osama was determined to strike...So what did Bush do then? Bush just stayed on vacation like he did with Katrina!
And they never ask Bush or his administration about any of that stuff.
I'm glad Clinton got pissed off -- I'd be pissed off too! Who would'nt get pissed off if someone tried to pin 9/11 on them with a bunch of made-up mumbo jumbo? It's bullshit.

Nonetheless, I didn't see a ranting raving lunatic, I saw an angry man fed up with the crap he has endured from his enemies. It seemed to me that Wallace was completely caught offguard by Clinton's passion and anger. And yet, Clinton came across more direct and unambiguous than he ever would have been able to in elected office.
Footnote: He'd make a good First Lady.

He attacked Al Quaeda twice (an aspirin factory and an empty tent) during his 8 years in office. Both within 3 months of each other. Coincidentally, the impeachment was going on at the same time. No attacks after the Senate cleared him and none before Lewinsky. What a wild coincidence. But hey, he came close (note the sarcasm). We had the intelligence to realize we missed him by an hour but not the intelligence to find him. Makes perfect sense.
