Yesterday the London Times reported central questions about Senator Obama’s shocking dearth of international experience: “Fresh doubts over Barack Obama’s foreign policy credentials were expressed on both sides of the Atlantic last night, after it emerged that he had made only one brief official visit to London - and none elsewhere in Western Europe or Latin America.” It also reported: “Mr. Obama had failed to convene a single policy meeting of the Senate European subcommittee, of which he is chairman.”


These basic facts, coming from a major foreign newspaper, are a sobering counterpoint to a gushing Boston Globe editorial that endorsed Obama for having “an intuitive sense of the wider world with all its perils and opportunities.” In fact, Obama’s supposed “intuitive sense” is no different from George W. Bush’s “instincts” and “gut feeling” describing his own foreign policy decision-making. We have been down this road before.

All politicians are bold face liars.  Just look at who is currently in office & what I said while I was in office.

Sure he's a politician.  But declaring a politician a liar is like calling a prostitute a whore.  Or a bold-face whore, as it were.

I keep hearing Obama is young and inexperienced..so he's not old and set in his ways.. The main  thing negative I see is what the media portrays . If he changes his mind to something I believe why would I complain?

between changing your mind on a topic, such as McCain's reversal on offshore drilling, which was a genuine change of position based on new information and Obama's pandering for votes. Obama IS inexperienced, but I would not consider late forties too young to be set in one's ways.

He is, as all of us are the sum total of his experiences. Obama is the quintessential politician, a slimy, smarmy product of the Chicago wards, surrounded by people of questionable character with overtly racist tendencies. What's not to like?
