One was my landlady’s friend, and she had just given birth to her third child. Her husband didn’t come home on 9/11. Her life was changed forever on that day. DC workers carpool. We wait in “slug” lines and pick up rides and riders. Over time you get to know the regulars in your commuter lot. There were people that I talked to on a weekly basis that disappeared that day. I know of two of them who died. So I’m asking you politely, give it a rest.
