Politics and Religion

As usual you either missed or ignored my point, but I'm used to that around here

Funny thing-----been a registered indy for 14 years ------only voted for GOP candidate once
( Mccain in 2000 primary ) Why is this ? I have absolutely NOTHING against fiscal conservatives.
What I CAN'T stand are "intolerant, bigoted, atavistic, anti-science fundamentalist/social conservatives. IMO, they RUIN the GOP !

Like I said earlier, replace U.S. "big 3 religions" with worship of football. Makes more sense & would get idiots out of politics.

It's very unlikely that social conservatives are going to consolodate around a single candidate in the next two weeks which spells good news for Romney and good news for those who hate the religious right.

Truth be told, I am barely luke warm where it comes to Romney, but luke warm is heads and shoulders above how I feel about any other candidate. So I am all for Romney going into Fla et al with momentum and putting the GOP in the best position to dethrone Obama.

but as much as I would like to see religion become a thing of the pass, I have to agree with JG and admit that whatever replaces it will be abused and inevitably be corrupted as well. Even if it were "worship of football" lol

with plenty of room left over for the Baptists, Lutherans, Jews, Buddhists et al.

but I would guess that there would be a special place, nice and warm, reserved for those Evangalicals and Fundamentalists who think only people who believe like they do are going to see the promised land.

I've seen the promised land, and it looked a lot like Cleveland. lmao

We've already had a Catholic and somehow the country survived, I bet we could survive a Mormon or "gasp", maybe even a jew? Of course some heathen chink would probably be going too far, God would undoubtably smite us. lmao

not ALL Chinese, are "heathen" atheists like you GaG------rumor is there some Chinese Christians along with Japanese & Koreans------LOL !

Since BHO set the standard, I could see those 2 ethnic groups, making it to POTUS. Mexican POTUS would have harder time---too much antipathy toward Illegal aliens, someone "cowtowing" to Mexico", etc.

As for the ludictrous idea of "hell", my conception of that would be only cable channel I'd have would be CBN-------:(

Hebe Priapus? Trashing your own kind? I got branded an anti-semite for using the word Heblew. Gotta admit though, heblew sounds funnier.

who needs lessons on how to "talk to other men". You really suck at it.

I bet you have never learned how to use the word nigger in a room full of black people without getting your white ass whipped, have you?

There is a way to use offensive words without being offensive, but it's an acquired skill that you have obviously not learned yet.

You should know I'm in a room full of black people almost every day. Some days, depending on who's in the room, it would be very entertaining to see someone use the word. There are people don't care if they are in or out of prison. Ever gotten to know anyone like that?

the Evangelicals and Fundamentalists, though they don't want to say it, and the political reporters don't understand it, is that they don't want to vote for someone they believe is going to hell, the Catholics and Mormons, and they don't want to vote for someone who will lose the Obama. In other words, they're screwed and they know it.   ;)

hell on earth, unless you are somewhere in Gross Pointe. Even Royal Oak is not all that bad!  lol

On second though, perhaps Flint is worse than Detroit.

My point is that you suck at "locker room" talk the same as the little asian kid on Gran Torino, he of course had the excuse of youth. I believe you just never "hang out with the guys" and/or you live in a rather white bread world.

Without "flipping" your alias, you do have to admit that I am not the first person who has said this about you.

Haven't seen Gran Torino, so missed than reference.

I know what "locker room" means but I have never been in one, not even in school - wasn't required.

No one has ever said that to me.

Not instructors in school or college, nor the male friends I had when I was young till say age 25. Friends were mostly criminals, drug dealers, bikers, counter culture types who were 10+ years older.

go figure

and if I were in a Church and the preacher started going into politics, guess I would beat the church crowd to the restaurant.
