But, yes, I was aware of it but only after it happened.  When I turned off the TV the market was up by about 150.  By the time I turned on the radio about an hour later it had plunged and then come back to + 135.  Since I don't day trade, no real gain or loss.

but I got distracted by the anti daffy show, and never got around to going, oh well I am here for another day, and it's not like I am going to find anything worth sticking my dick into, So I guess I will grab a steak, a bottle or two of wine turn on some baseball and watch the "how to roast a daffy duck" show on TER.

Actually, I thought if we get a thread about money or sports, Daffy wouldn't respond because, well he is a 50 year old plus man living with Mom in a Las Vegas apartment. So money and sports are not going to be two of his core competencies, if you know what I mean.

When you read his posts he does have a Adam Lanza quality about him, albeit a much older version.

     But I found it more baffling that Morgan Stanley upgraded Bank of America right after a terrible quarter
wiped about 4% from my BAC portifolio in a day. Better give up on your cheese fondue-to-go start up and get in now. Even that bitch Meredith Whitney says it's going to $15 and "he's gotta be right one day" Dick Bove says it's going to $30.  

      But here's my newest acquisition - ETP, my play on natural gas infrastructure. Since they get paid no matter the price of natural gas, I'm insulated from a glut. And check out that 7% dividend. That will buy a lot of cheese fondue.

I will publicly applaud you mari for ETP. I actually own a little Kinder Morgan, same play, same great dividend. Now how about Netflix? From $60 to over $200 in less than 6 months.
