Trump posted on Truth Social:
"For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity..."

Why?  So he could sell it to Russia for $24.00?

And why is the Trump speaking for the United States of America?  Did I miss his inauguration?

…that the US should be interested in territorial expansion. Quite frankly, I already think Alaska and Hawaii are a bit too much.

There’s a significant cohort of TDS afflicted X posters who really believe that Biden and Harris have a secret plan to derail the inauguration of Trump. Some are claiming that the 14th Amendment will be invoked. Others believe a criminal conspiracy involving Russia and cheating is about to be announced and Trump will be arrested. I wonder if BigPapasan believes any of these conspiracy theories?

Trump is president-elect and therefore speaks for the administration that will commence in less than a month. Everyone internationally has forgotten that Biden even exists. Try to keep up.

To suggest buying Greenland

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_the_United_States_to_purchase_Greenland

but since it is Trump you get all in a twist because whatever he proposes, suggests or does is, in your mind, a bad idea because you are an ultra-partisan hack who is filled with hate and anger.

There are many reasons the United States buying Greenland is a good idea but you are not informed or savvy enough to understand. Besides if it is good for America you are against it because you hate America. Your only goal in life  to stab righties in the back.

As for speaking for the United States biden isn't  he is just interested in commutations of savages  and pardons for those who do not deserve it. and saving his hide and that of his crime family.

that there will soon be a president that gives a fuck about national security.  An airbase in Greenland gives us a potentially shorter air-distance to Russia than from bases in other countries without the hassle of involving a host country in any action we take against Russia.  Proximity to Russia is why it is important to our national security to own Greenland.

He's playing three-dimensional chess while everyone else is playing checkers.  I DO find it refreshing!  I find it refreshing to learn you are as stupid as followme, LostSon and durran421.

The U.S. has had "proximity to Russia" since 1953 when Thule Air Base was built in Greenland as the result of agreements between the United States and Denmark going back to 1943.  Today it's called Pituffik Space Base.  It has a 10,000' runway and is also home to the northernmost deep water port in the world.  The base operates a Ballistic Missile Early Warning System designed to detect and track ICBMs launched against North America.

Pituffik Space Base is the northernmost installation of our armed forces.  The U.S. has given a fuck about our security in that part of the world for EIGHTY YEARS!!

CDL was clearly talking about the advantages of operating from a domestic airbase versus one operating in a foreign country. It’s not surprising that Nicky missed that.

things out of context here for as long as I have been a TER member.  He will miss ignore the main point and seize on the minutia.   I, too, am surprised that Nicky missed the main point.  We have airbases in many countries, but you still have to fly through their airspace to leave the country, and that eliminates the element of surprise you get when flying from your own territory.  Russia can listen in on international communications from Air Traffic Control locations to track the movement of our military aircraft.  There is no way to maintain stealth when you are flying out of a host country.

Both Greenland and Denmark, which control the territory, have said it's a non starter. So Trump would have to invade it (not to mention Panama) in order to gain control.  In Denmark's case that would mean invading a fellow NATO member.

The Danes calling it a non-starter at this point is the prudent thing for them to do.  It would be foolish for them to concede any terms or conditions before the negotiations even start. It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds.

just floating some trial balloons to see what the reaction is from various fronts.  They may, or may not, lead to anything further.  However, I think the people of Canada may give the idea of becoming a US state some traction because, as Trump says, their tax rate will go down by 60%.  That's a lot of coin left in their pockets, so it's something to seriously consider, IMO.

And many other measures would suggest that Canadians don't monetize everything or are as transactional as Trump and MAGAs.

And whether or not they gonna use the US dollar. Furthermore, more and more countries are applying to joint  BRICS ,so America seems to be looking more of its influence in the world. He know his MAGA  hats worshippers will cheer at just about anything that comes out of his mouth, because they are dumb as dirt.

They really working on World War three. Let then continue to encroach on Russia another nuclear superpower. The MAGA hats don't have a brain in their head- they will be the first ones looking for a place to hide when the nuclear bombs start to drop but there will be none.
Russia and North Korea are not Palestine. NATO has become a puppet organisation . There were use to take out Moamar Ghadafi, because he wanted to unite  Africa as the United States of Afica and under one currency. As a result western and European countries would not be able to exploit and subjugate the countries of the continent anymore.

tell me Canadians will invest in anything that has a "tax shelter" component, which supports Trump's comments about the average Canadian believing they are overtaxed.  Rather than pay 60-70% tax on their income, they would rather take a flyer on some longshot investment like magic beanstalk beans as long as the EXPECTED losses are tax deductible.   I have a friend in Toronto that thinks this way.

"I have a friend in Toronto that thinks this way." - Then help him move the US to experience Trump Tax Cuts and Tariffs without having to wait for Canadian statehood. What's his first choice? Alabama? Mississippi? Maybe, closer to home, New Hampshire - Live Free or Die?
