For the undecided voters out there

These come from the Candidate's website. So, if you like the following ...

1. Union card check would certainly pass and be signed into law. This is the Employee Free Choice Act would convert workplaces into union shops merely by gathering signatures from a majority of employees. It would eliminate the final secret ballot vote.

2. Fight to ban companies from hiring permanent replacement workers during a union strike, assuring all union workers will get their jobs back if they just walk out and picket.

3. Move us toward government run healthcare, even if he stops sort of proposing universal healthcare. He is promising a public insurance program modeled after Medicare and open to anyone of any income. According to the Lewin group, it could cause as many as 52-million Americans to move from private coverage to public entitlement.

4. Increase the minimum wage to at least 9.50 an hour by 2011 and index it--tie it to the rate of inflation--so it will increase as inflation does.

5. Appointing at least one, maybe two appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court.

6. Renegotiate NAFTA and stand against other free trade agreements. Imagine, they want to limit trade with our allies and neighbors, Canada and Mexico.

7. Implement cap and trade taxes, imposing them on businesses to combat global warming. These would drive up the cost of energy and adversely impacting the economy. This is trillions of dollars that congress could grab by selling carbon credits, which it could then use to play favorites and pick winners and losers in the energy business and across the economy. It would be a new way for congress to regulate business, punish those industries they don’t like and reward those they do.

8. Reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050, which is impossible, but we’ll lose a lot of freedoms and spend a lot of taxpayer money trying. They will almost certainly pass the bill making this vow, anyway.

9. Reintroduce the Fairness Doctrine and stifle conservative talk radio. Candidate has said he has no interest in doing so, but if congress passed it and it ended up on his desk, would he sign it?

10. Quick troop exit from Iraq.

11. Hold personal President-level talks with the Castros, Chavez, and other dictators, with or without precondition.

12. Windfall profits taxes on oil companies. They will pursue them. Other industries they have traditionally disliked could be in for new scrutiny, regulation and profit grabs, including telecom, biotech and (almost certainly) drug makers.

13. Has vowed raise the top income, dividend, and capital gains rates for ‘the rich’, increasing the cost of new investment in the U-S.

14. 95 percent tax cut for all Americans would turn the IRS into a new welfare agency. Forty percent of American families don’t pay taxes, so they’d receive yearly rebates, money they never paid in and don’t deserve.

15. Move quickly to impose procedural advantages that could cement their rule for years to come, including national Election Day registration. It would make it easier to stack the voter rolls.

16. Felons may get the right to vote nationwide.

17. The District of Columbia would be given a voice, and votes.

18. The No Child Left Behind education standards would be watered down or dropped. Teacher’s unions don’t like them.

19. Terrorists at Guantanamo Bay would probably be afforded the right to have trials in civilian courts with all of the protections and rights afforded to American citizens.

20. Pass the so-called Fair Pay Act which would set salary standards for women doing certain jobs that would be overly simplistic and would allow trial lawyers to dream up all sorts of new discrimination claims while adversely affecting employers.

21. Vowed to expand and toughen federal hate crimes laws, which many people find ridiculous. A crime is a crime.

22. Amnesty for illegal aliens. It is a vow they’ve made to illegal alien advocacy groups.

23. Has told Planned Parenthood that, as one of his first acts, he will pass the Freedom of Choice Act, which would overturn the partial birth abortion ban and overrule parental notification laws.

... vote for Obama and increasing Pelosi and Reid's majority in Congress.

The sonofabitches will also pass anti-gun laws that will effectively gut the Second Amendment. The filthy, parasitic bastards need to be stopped. Vote for anyone that supports freedom. Don't turn us into an Obamanation.

I guess your party has a monopoly on "freedom".

I don't support gun control (except for assault weapons), but your "foaming at the mouth" tirades lead me to question the wisdom of guns in your hands.

Everyone should have a monopoly on freedom. It is something everyone is born with, not doled out by the government, only constricted or destroyed by the government. Your comments about guns makes it clear you do't know jack shit about guns in spite of your expressed lack of support for gun control. Because you jump to the conclusion that I should not have the right of self defense I doubt your commitment to liberty is any deeper than Hussein Obama/Osama's.

I only scanned the list, but it is clear that you are lying.  Without investigating the others, I know for absolute certainty that 14-19 in your list are not on Obama's website.  If you insist that they are, you are lying.  I also 'believe' that many of the others are not.  Please do not try to confuse us with rhetoric masked as fact.

Thank you.

You missed the facts, Mister Completely.

I am ignorant of a great many things.  Based on my knowledge, I made a claim.  I am uncertain whether you are disagreeing with my claim.  I do feel rather confident that you are saying I remain ignorant of something that you know about the original post.  PLEASE, for my own education, enlighten me.

Osama/Obama makes it clear those are on his agenda. Pay attention to what the bastard and his ilk are saying. I am also very confident that what he has in mind for America is far worse than what he is presently revealing. National suicide? Is that a good thing?

The claim I made is that the fellow who made the original post is lying because he claims that Obama said various things on his website.  HE DID NOT.  If you have different information, I would appreciate hearing it.  Your conclusions (without premise) are of little use to me as I have different conclusions that I have already made.

it doesn't square with the truth. I don't keep a verbatim record of what the bastard has said but the points are certainly consistent with what he has said. It is clear that the basatrd is a neo-Marixst who believes the experiment of his Ole Uncle Joe (Stalin) should be re-enacted in America for the purported benefit of Africa and his Muslim buddies. Hussein is a piece of shit!!!

are a fool.  All who have thoughts and beliefs that they don't think then need to have a basis for are fools.  You belong to a big club.

HuckFarry1593 reads

fat old drunken fool.  He has been a esteemed charter memember of that club for quite some time, too.

Nope, he is not lying. Nor is he exaggerating either. The original poster may have expressed some of Obama's in the most alarming and inflammatory terms possible, but there are neither any lies nor exaggerations here. These are ALL positions that Obama has expressed his support of.

And if you missed it, the most dangerous item on the list is Obama's stated intentions toward the minimum wage. He intends to raise it to $9.50.....AND tie it to inflation so that the minimum wage becomes self adjusting over time, rising with inflation. The problem is, raising an aritificial wage CAUSES inflation. If Obama ties to the two together, it will simply cause a constant cycle of inflation and resultant wage hike that leads to more inflation.

If nothing else convinces you that Obama does NOT grasp SIMPLE economics, that should. If Obama can't grasp that simple economic principle, do you REALLY think he is intellectually equipped to deal with the more serious and complex issues of our economy??

I am telling you that 14-19 are not on Obama's website anywhere.  That is the only claim I made.  If you want to show me or others that I am wrong, point to your evidence.  Otherwise, you are full of shit and afraid of the facts.

I guess you are smarter than the entire Economic team that advises Obama -- smarter than the Nobel Laureates,  former Fed Chairman, former Treasury Secretaries, & billionaires.

By your rationale, reducing the minimum wage would lower inflation.

Nothing funnier than an armchair economist ....

As I said, it is from the Candidate's website with the Candidates listed as Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. These are the positions these leaders are taking on their websites. However, if a particular point is not on Obama's website (but is on Pelosi's or Reid's), I believe is is not unreasonable to say that Obama supports the position. In any case, here are sites from Obama's website:

"14. 95 percent tax cut for all Americans"

See first bullet point on the page:
http://www.barackobama.com/taxes/

"Forty percent of American families don’t pay taxes"

http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/23631.html

"would turn the IRS into a new welfare agency."
"so they’d receive yearly rebates, money they never paid in and don’t deserve."

From the same Tax Foundation article:
"Most tax credits can only reduce a taxpayer's amount due to zero, but the EITC and the child tax credit were also made refundable, meaning that taxpayers are eligible to receive a check even if they have paid no income tax during the year. Those tax returns have become, in effect, a claim form for a subsidy delivered through the tax system rather than a direct payment from a traditional government program like welfare or farm supports."

By the way, the Tax Foundation is: "As a nonpartisan educational organization, the Tax Foundation has earned a reputation for independence and credibility."

"19. Terrorists at Guantanamo Bay would probably be afforded the right to have trials in civilian courts with all of the protections and rights afforded to American citizens."

http://www.barackobama.com/2007/08/01/remarks_of_senator_obama_the_w_1.php
"I also will reject a legal framework that does not work. ... I have faith in America's courts, and I have faith in our JAGs. As President, I will close Guantanamo, reject the Military Commissions Act, and adhere to the Geneva Conventions. Our Constitution and our Uniform Code of Military Justice provide a framework for dealing with the terrorists."
Note the word "Constitution" in the last sentence quoted. "all of the protections and rights afforded to American citizens" comes from the Constitution.

I don't have time to go point by point and do the research for you. Since you "know for certain that 14-19 in your list are not on Obama's website", and I easily proved the first and last ones, it is obvious you don't care about the truth. These are not secret positions of Obama. These are items Obama and the Democrats have been stating for years.

Whether you choose to support Obama or not, is your business. But, if you chose to support Obama, you should at least know what policies you are voting for. I would much prefer to loose an election to Educated voters than Ignorant ones.
