...and you bend quicker than a...well, you get the idea.
How could this happen in a noble and caring country like the USA? A little girl, hearing impaired and wearing prosthesis killed by her own parents?
& WTF does this have to do with P & R ?
Ben, I'm sure many on this board will agree with me that you're an unwelcome idiot troll.

Next thing you know I will be saying I like WW in comparison. NOT!!! LOL
Although I will admit that Willy seems to have some serious competition in the "most disliked troll" category. If our latest troll manages to stick around a couple of months, he might just sway my vote.
As much as I detest WW, I will concede that at least on ocassion I find myself agreeing with him. So far I haven't read a single thing our latest troll has written that I can find myself agreeing with.
Maybe if the crew around here were a little more welcoming then petty and confrontational, we'd have a more interesting P&R board with more diverse opinions. I'm just sayin...
"Benlanger" is an idiot troll, as evidenced by his numerous & irrational anti-American OP's-----btw, it seems that the guy isn't even a U.S citizen ; let him clean his OWN house before hurling brickbats at us. Lastly, YOU don't get petty & cronfrontational ?! Fortunately, I NEVER display those qualities---------

Pria, this is what annoys me most about you. Ben has "irrational anti-American" posts? Are you sure you're a liberal? Or did that mean GaG and PW upset you enough for your spine to go limp again?
Yes, I'm often very confrontational. But with the exception of liorr, whose posts literally makes my eyes bleed, I've never told anyone to get off this board. Many do, and for that reason, many of the people who used to frequent this board no longer do. I don't see that as a positive.
If you have problems with the quality of Ben's posts, then why not make helpful suggestions on how he can improve them?
You are SO far over to the left ( I'd say 95 % ) that you view everything in black & white terms--the word "nuanced" is unknown to you. What annoys you is that my political views are eclectic; I'm 2/3 liberal & 1/3 conservative. GaG & PW "intimidate" me enough to go "spineless" ?! Wotta load of horseshit------LMAO ! Ever see their reactions to my negative Tea Party posts ?! I'd think they'd dispute you on your false assumptions.
Btw, I implied in previous thread that I'm confrontational also; &, when it came to Liorr, I also thought he was a disruptive presence that should get lost. ( we weren't alone in that opinon, as evidenced from others here & on the Sports board.)
I don't want to "evict" Benlanger from this board
I never said that & not in my power to do that. But,to make to "helpful suggestions" to an anti-American troll, who's not even a U.S citizen, who clearly makes these remarks not to stimulate discussion, but just to provoke ? You think an unwelcome & hostile presence such as that can be "reasoned" with ?
Because if you do,I'd like to sell you the following choice real estate-----

"You are SO far over to the left"
You're not wrong. Being left is right. :P
"that you view everything in black & white terms--the word "nuanced" is unknown to you."
That's not true! I see nuance in a LOT of things! For instance, Sarah Palin's kid is kinda retarded. Now Sarah Palin herself...well...you get the idea.
"What annoys you is that my political views are eclectic; I'm 2/3 liberal & 1/3 conservative."
No, you're not that. You're wishy-washy. Milque toast. Weak-willed. Wobbily-kneed. Fraidy-cat. Lily-livered. Yellow-bellied. A strong conservative breeze would knock you over so you'd look so silly that you'd think you'd be doing an impersonation of Mickey D's golden arches.
Look man, I'm conservative too on some points. For instance, I'm very pro 2nd amendment. Not kinda sorta okay with it. But VERY pro 2nd amendment. I have conviction in my beliefs. I believe them to be the right beliefs to have. You just don't seem to have the courage of your convictions.
"GaG & PW "intimidate" me enough to go "spineless" ?! Wotta load of horseshit------LMAO !"
And other conservatives on this board too. Don't discard that out of hand Pria. It's more true then I'm betting you even realize.
"Ever see their reactions to my negative Tea Party posts ?!"
The fact that you're trying to give me some of your liberal bona fides is pretty telling.
-- Modified on 10/12/2010 9:06:52 PM
just to make a point-----& your post is so filled with "black & white sophistry" & incorrect syllogisms that it's laughable.
Willy, even though we share many liberal beliefs in common, lemme echo the sentiments of the rest of the board when I say this about you : you're an idiot---------
but Pri, you and the other regulars here can make a conscious decision to NOT FEED THE TROLL. Without anyone to talk (argue) with, eventually he would go away.
Of course once you and PW pay what you owe, we can have a huge "Willyholics" bash. rofl
I'm saving up my $ to go down to L.A to see a couple of hot providers------in order for me to do that, I have to stop adding to the "fund" by engaging in my futile "back & forth" with him.
Funny thing-----I've been so fucking dense--when I first got here I thought all the "dumping" on WW was "unfair" because this room skewed right--hell----was I wrong---it's NOTHING to do with his ideology----he's just SO wrongheaded on things, particularly sizing people up----in other words, he's an IMBECILE !
There----I've had my piece---err peace---( forgive the Fredian slip---------LOL ! )
...and you bend quicker than a...well, you get the idea.
Palin wasn't forced to make herself a public figure. That was her choice. Making her children, even the ones she's pretending are hers, is her choice too. If Limbaugh can call Chelsea Clinton the "White House Dog" then I can call a spade a spade. So long as the GOP is going to embrace Karl Rove, who called McCain's adopted daughter his "illegitmate black daughter", then I can call a spade a spade. So long as the GOP will embrace images of the President as a bone-through-his-nose tribesman, then I can call a spade a spade.
When one side acts like it's no holds barred, then the other side would be foolish to treat those very same people with kid gloves. And yet you do Pria. What the hell are you so afraid of?
then you're covered with pig shit". WW, when you stooop to the level of far right, particularly when you a mock down syndrome child, then thats what you do. Hell--I'm guilty of the same thing when I reply to you.
What you fail to realize is that you can be quite assertive against a political opponent without stooping into the gutter. It's not "fear"
Willy------I just abide by Marquis of Queensbury rules. You should also ask board conservatives if I handle them with "kid gloves" over opposing points of view-----LMAO ! Same rules apply when I'm civil to board conservatives like GaG or
John Galt-----but, with your facile mentality, it appears that I'm "consorting with the enemy".
Wotta crock of shit.
Anyway, enough of this-----figured I contributed enough to "WW fund" to build a Vegas brothel---enough back & forth with a "far left candyass"
who is pictured below ( ever notice he has strong similarity to Michael Jackson ? )

Pria and WW -- you two can spar all day, it's cool!
In all seriousness, while I like WW, I sometimes have a hard time seeing where he is coming from. It's like there is some sort of giant disconnect in the space-time continuum where he observes gravity working differently in his world than I see it in mine.
It is very surreal because on the one hand it almost seems like some of his stuff is really disconnected from reality; but on the other hand it is clear he is very knowledgeable in surprising arenas.
On the other hand, I can usually understand the reasoning of where Pria is coming from. Even if I disagree with him, we seem to live in the same universe where gravity works the same way; so there are some common reference points. Of course, I like Pria as well and even though we disagree on a lot of stuff, I like the fact we can do so without resorting to silliness.
What I find astonishing is how this thread about parents killing a child turned into a debate on the liberal bona fides of one poster and the potential-trollishness of the other.
Hey -- some food for thought.
Up until Christianity took over Northern Europe (at swordpoint, of course -- because monotheism isn't known for its tolerance), fathers had an undisputed right to kill any children born to their wives up to the time they were named 7 days after birth.
This was because communities on the brink of survival in a harsh land could not afford to carry people who would be a burden.
I am NOT saying killing one's children after a certain point is at all acceptable; only that for at least a few thousand years, it was at least accepted in parts of Europe.
Pria, the reality is the only way to keep a pig from shitting on you is to get your hands dirty. Politics is a blood sport. The point is to draw the most blood.
John, yeh the whole Spartan idea of letting the weak die for the betterment of the rest of the society. Not the most humane thing in the world, but of course they didn't have access to ultrasounds and medically advanced pregnancy termination. It's not particularly pleasant to ponder the morals of that one.
I'm often quite surprised that more people don't view things the same way I do. I mean, certain ideas that I see as a given, a lot of people don't accept, despite that the facts don't exactly point in their favor. I don't get it.
I may have an explanation for this: "I'm often quite surprised that more people don't view things the same way I do. I mean, certain ideas that I see as a given, a lot of people don't accept, despite that the facts don't exactly point in their favor. I don't get it."
As human beings, we are finite beings with finite knowledge. As a result of the fact our knowledge is finite; we necessarily reach conclusions based upon incomplete data. ALL conclusions only have validity within the context of the data that produced them.
In addition, unlike the rest of creation, we have created various philosophies and even moral codes in order to try to create stable societies.
All philosophies and moral codes are the result of finite and error-prone human beings with limited knowledge trying to make sense of a reality beyond their capacities.
People adopt philosophical worldviews either explicitly (as in someone who calls himself an Atheist or a Catholic) or implicitly. Then, as they encounter data, they tend to select data or interpret data in a fashion that supports their explicit or implicit philosophy. As a result, error compounds error.
Because of this, you and I can look at identical data and give it wildly different interpretations and draw very different conclusions as to the implications for policy.
...but when I'm presented with data that I can't disprove, then I have no choice but to adopt a new point of view. I do this consciously. I'm sure I have certain biases that result in an imperfect acceptance of all the data I'm presented with, but I certainly take a great deal of effort to set them aside when I've been presented with data that contradicts a belief. I often find it frustrating that others don't seem to take the same efforts in this that I do.
No words can put you in a positive light. You are only here to annoy people and post your zany pics. The board knows what kind of a disruption you are.
