(not just learning what some professor told you was the truth) 3) If you want to read about it get books from both sides. There are several good ones.
One thing to think about, we defeated Germany in 1945, but when did we really relinquish control of their country back to them? Starting from scratch, educations systems (not Madrasas); health care; water, sewer, electric grids; etc. in areas where they never existed are just some of the problems.
