I think that Congress, DoJ, et al. can figure out how to budget their time and prioritize things. The further investigation and prosecution of Trump need not be the #1 priority, but it should be allowed to proceed.

Thanks to the NY Times, we now know that Trump may have fraudulently claimed a $70 million tax refund after he bankrupted and abandoned his casino properties. An IRS investigation revealed that Trump had gained a tangible benefit (partial ownership of another venture) by "abandoning" his casino holdings which meant that he could not legally claim the tax refund. After YEARS of negotiating a settlement of that case, it is still NOT resolved. When 2021 rolls around, I would like the IRS to simply settle the matter once and for all and seize the $100+ million (principal + interest) that Trump owes. ... and watch the tweet storm that follows!

Trump's taxes are ripe for review by Congress as a prime example of things that are wrong with the tax system and Congress can use that as a guide to change (simplify) tax codes. It could also lead to legislation regarding tax disclosures by Presidential and other high level candidates for office.
