to check your sources.  In this instance, the source of your claim is Trump himself.  The only difference is the arming of the Kurds, which had minimal impact on the end result.  As Obama said ISIS was the JV squad and would fall over time.  That is just what has happened.

 
Arming the Kurds was complicated as they are considered terrorists by the Turkish government because of the Kurds' independence efforts.  Turkey is an important ally of ours.  They host some of our military installations and are very close "striking" distance from Russia.  We favored the Turks over the Greeks and the Greeks left NATO.  Always a balancing act in order for the U.S. to maintain a strategic advantage.

Just for the record, I had NO problem giving Obama credit for nailing OBL, which was a great thing. Sad the libs here cant seem to muster such honesty.

 
Trump changed the ROE towards the enemy, as the military wanted Obama to do, but of course, Obama brushed off that expert advice and sided with the terrorists as he did with Syria, the Taliban, Iran, etc

 
That change in the rules, which gave local commanders more latitude to execute the mission, allowed us to overwhelm and destroy the caliphate in short order.  

 
As you point out, ISIS was indeed Obama's child, as he allowed ISIS to cross from Syria into Iraq while sitting on his dick.  

 
Trump actually listening to his military advisors must be one of those signs of a mentally unstable person the snowflakes keep babbling about all week. Invoke the 25th! lmao

Yes, the military has made more good progress and Trump and Mattis' decision to relax the rules of engagement probably sped things up a bit.  But most of the work of dislodging ISIS from Iraq and Syria happened before Trump took office.
And don't you want to give Trump's butt-buddy Putin some of the credit?

Of all of President O's foreign foul ups, how he mishandled ISIS or DAESH or ISIL or whatever they are called, will be one of the worst. He watched them grow right before his eyes and did virtually nothing at all. All that land we sweated over, lost precious troops over and BAM! Obama gave it back and President Trump had to retake it. Very inept how Obama chose to go his own route, and abandoned his generals thoughts.

ISIS has been on the verge of destruction in that region for the last 2 years, it was inevitable.. This is like the pitcher who pitches 8 2/3 of a no-hitter, the team winning 9-0, the no hit then gets broken.trump comes in to get the final out...and now trump wants the win....give me a break.
But if it makes righties feel good have at it....Funny this is the only thread in months were the rats have come out of the woodwork...lol

That seems to not only be anti-Trump but anti-American as well. I can not give Mr. Obama credit for something that he allowed to happen to begin with. The military has said that the rules changes that the President has put in place have greatly helped defeating Isis/Isil. Do you think they are lying?

You're giving our Military too much credit.I would correlate this to the Vietnam war. Body counts was the name of the game. After a fire fight, when the troops came back, the first question by the generals asked was, "What was the body count". The Sargent usually padded the Viet cong kills from say 5 to 20. Which the generals loved to hear...
So our involvement in the war on ISIS was mostly air attack and reconnaissance, along with the Russians. Remember, Russia and Syria are allies. But there was squabbling between us and the Russians over air space and who can fly over what area. The Iranians had the boots on the ground, they had skin in the game. I think the Russians had more troop fighting on the ground then the Americans. We didn't go door to door to fight ISIS, It was the Iranians. So for us to claim that the big bad Americans destroyed ISIS is still like that relief pitcher.
Sorry if this doesn't sound like apple pie and the girl we left behind...

He allowed them to form the caliphate to begin with and that will be a permanent stain on Mr Obama's piss poor foreign policy record as scores more died thay didnt need to. Obama refused to take the advice given to him by his military and we paid the price. The President came in with a new approach, new rules and took the gloves off the military to allow them to defeat Isis/Isil. No one argues that.
