Trump's running mate.

Pretty sure it's not going to be Mike Pence. lol. Nor Chris Christie. The obvious perfect choice for him is Nikki Haley because she clearly checks off so many boxes. I am curious who the Republicans here would choose if they could choose anyone and if they think that person would accept.
Haley would be in a very tough spot if he asked her. If she says yes, she would lose a lot of respect that moderates and independents have for her and she opens herself up to litigation as everything Trump touches turns to crap.
If she says no, Trump will trash her and turn the Trumpettes off to her for her virtually certain 2028 presidential run.
The Trump/Haley ticket is the one I would fear the most because at Trumps age, it isnt hard to believe something could happen to him health wise, causing him to vacate the position, thus leaving Haley in charge. Most people, imho, would think Haley would be a very acceptable replacement, even the ones like me who disagree with 90% of her politics.
On the other hand, if he picks someone like Vivek, I think that would send shockwaves through that same moderate and Indy camp and I think he would lose a great percentage of those votes as I believe most would not think he is ready to be president on day one.
Please don't give me Kari Lake. Please. She is less qualified than both Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle and that is VERY hard to pull off. lol.
Your thoughts please.

Haley became rich based on association with defense industry, hence her forever war appetite.  I know progressives are now in bed with the CIA/NSA/Daddy Warbucks wing of the deep state.  It's quite a whiplash from days of old.  But hey, if you're bought you're bought.
.
If Haley becomes VP, it is almost certain that the deep state would assassinate Trump.  It would be very lucrative for them to get Haley in as prez.

Not a bad choice as she is liked by both Maga and more mainstream Republicans. The issue I see is twofold: one, she doesn't bring any purple states into play as the Dakotas, and the states around them (except for Minnesota, a very blue state), are rock solid red. Two, many in the middle would question her ability to be president on day one, an issue that Nikki Haley doesn't have.
Haley is also popular in the South and could help in securing both North Carolina and Georgia early, two states that have trended from red to pink to purple in the last few election cycles.
Haley being a WOC would also give the impression that the R party is different now and looking to expand its base. She also has a very impressive resume, regardless of what I think about her politics.

Good points there. I’ld rather see Nikki on the ticket, but my gut instinct is telling me Trump would choose Noem over Haley.

Because he doesn't care, the fact that Nikki makes more sense electorally notwithstanding. All Trump cares about is that because Haley ran against him she's "disloyal." Noem doesn't have that baggage. Also, even though the Dakotas are locked up, Noem will help turn out hard Red voters in other states. Plus, she's hot.

but I think he might be right on this one. Trump picking Pence in 2016 was politically calculated to grow the base and balance out Trump with Pence’s steady demeanor.

This cycle, Trump and his team seem much more focused on loyalty, and that looks to be the primary factor in who he will ultimately select as his VP.

Kristi Noem is a good choice if Trump leaves the final decision up to his "small" head.  I can't remember there ever being a Democrat governor as hot as Sarah Palin, much less Noem.  Even Sarah Sanders is better looking than most Dem governors.  Lol

Usually a VP picks are to capture a state or a group of voters who you haven't really connected with or are on the fence with you. But in trumps case, it wouldn't matter who he picks, fuck get Rosanne Barr.. or MTG. It won't matter. His base just isn't into who he picks. They might moan and groan for about a minute...but in the end, who would give a shit.
So as we try to dissect and act all intellectual about who trump will pick....hate to say it...But it won't matter.

🚨Report: President Trump is considering picking ten options as VP pick in 2024👇

3. Elise Stefanik
4. Sarah Sanders
5. Kristi Noem
6. Tucker Carlson
7. Byron Donalds
8. Kari Lake
9. Nancy Mace
10. Nikki Haley

Nobody in their right mind would agree to be Trump's VP. Of course, that still leaves PLENTY of MAGA righties eligible. :-) Any VP should insist on having the RNC pay for a huge ($50 M? $100 M?) life insurance policy for themselves and their family (double indemnity if murdered within 500 yards of the House chamber). But I'd also watch out for Trump taking out such a policy and naming himself as beneficiary!
.
I was thinking: The SECOND the VP candidate says ANYTHING that crosses Trump, they are ***toast.*** They'd have to be as dumb as a ***brick*** to agree to run as Trump's VP.
.
And that is why I would like suggest these candidates as Trump's running mates.
1. A piece of toast. White bread toast, of course. Rye toast, whole wheat, cinnamon - raisin (not "pure" enough), dark pumpernickel ... all not qualified.
2. A brick. I'm undecided about which brick would be the most qualified to serve as Trump's VP.  The image, below, shows a few types of brick: burnt clay, sand lime, fly ash, ... Is there such a thing as a kari brick or tucker brick?

Nikki Haley MIGHT be qualified to many, even those who disagree with her policy positions, but she has already spoken out (tangentially) against Trump ("We need a younger generation to build on ...") and Trump has labeled her "Birdbrain." If she joins the ticket, that would be GREAT for the opposition ads: Trump and Birdbrain! "I will only hire the BEST ... birdbrains."
.
I wish I had room for more than on photo to illustrate the candidates: bricks, toasts, door nails, birdbrains, ...

And this yahoo checks off all the boxes...fuck what I said before. THIS IS TRUMPS VP!!

Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin.
.
Some combination of the above swing states is going to determine the winner.
.
You want firstly a VP candidate that doesn't harm the chances in these states.  VP picks are less important these days for any benefits they bring to the ticket.  It's mostly a don't screw up choice.

Trump said during the Fox townhall that he's already picked his VP but won't say who it is.  I would say that he has tentatively picked his VP, since Trump does tend to change his mind often before making the final cut.
